Carleton Place

DonnaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Cozy, clean and comfortable. This tastefully decorated suite worked well for our short visit to the area. The attention to detail is evident in everything from the ‘live’ plants to the extra bathroom items. Holly was responsive and considerate. We appreciated that and would return.

Big Harbour Hideaway

WandaRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Big Harbour Hideaway is situated on an inlet of the Bras D’Or Lake with little boating activity so it was quiet. The dock is very solid and does not move with the tide, there were four Adirondack chairs on the dock with a few more available near by. Across the inlet is a really nice view of gypsum cliffs. There were bald eagles and even a seal! The house felt comfy and was well stocked with toilet paper, paper towelling, tissue, garbage bags, pots and pans, cutlery, etc. The beds were quite comfortable and although there is no air conditioning the breeze off the water was all we needed to cool the bedrooms at night. Although the house is on a well there was plenty hot water and the water pressure was really good. It felt homelike and it doesn’t get better than that! There is no cable tv, but I believe you can hook up a device to it to watch movies or play games. There is a pretty serious Scrabble game on the coffee table. Baddeck is only 12-14 minutes away by car.

Guest Suite Along the Bras d’Or Lake

LynnRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Best Airbnb we have ever stayed at! The suite is beautiful and felt like home. We were greeted by Duncan and welcomed into the suite. It felt perfect from the moment we walked in. It is very peaceful and quiet. Where do we even start with all of the goodies that Donna provided! Best stocked bnb we have stayed in. We considered another night but already had a reservation for the next night! Highly recommend this place!

Tiny House on the Ocean

BretonRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Amazing spot!! You feel so at home and yet you know this is a very special treat. The tiny house is so simple and beautiful. You are on a lovely field overlooking the ocean. You can see the stars and moon from the bed I chose. And listen to the ocean. My son and niece loved the bunk beds. And the lovely stone shower is one of many added touches that makes this private, peaceful getaway feel like a luxury.

Stunning Ocean View; Beach Access Cabot Trail 25km

PieterRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Quant place is an amazing location. Everyone was friendly. It is tucked away at the end of a long dirt road and has a gate to go through. While all the waterfront is private, we were told by a local we could enjoy the beautiful white sand beach. The loft is a little low. It was find for my kids but I’m 6’ and I hit my head. There is a giant screen and a projector which was nice for those rainy nights. The kitchen was well supplied and we appreciated the snacks left for us at check in.

Cabot Trail Home with a Country Flare

MaryRating, 5 stars9 months ago
This home has to be one of the BEST places to stay on Cape Breton. In its own grounds near to a yummy cafe & lots of interesting craft workshops & shops plus the gondola trip up Cape Smokey at Ingonish. We loved everything about our stay & highly recommend it as a place of relaxation that’s also well connected to a wide range of activities that are not too far from your front door. Great communications with our hosts - Callum & Carole too. Loved Cape Breton & all the friendly people we met whilst there.

The Lake House

MeghanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My husband and I had a wonderful stay in the float home. The view was beautiful!! We loved sitting out on the deck. We had a great meal at the restaurant across the street and were within walking distance to one of the best coffee shops we have been to in awhile. We would love to stay again! Kerianne was an excellent host - great communication and clear instructions.
