We had an amazing stay! The outdoor space was absolutely perfect - spacious, private, and ideal for relaxing or enjoying a meal outside. The kitchen was large and well-equipped, making it easy to cook. One of the standout features was the filleting station - such a thoughtful addition for anyone planning to fish or prep fresh seafood. Everything was clean, comfortable, and as pictured. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-appointed getaway. We truly can’t wait to return!

We couldn’t believe that the apartment was all ours! We didn’t need all the room. There was enough kitchen stuff to easily cook dinner and our view was better than any restaurant in town. Very comfortable king bed and our car was in a garage.

Lucy is just getting started but saved us from Cyclone Tam and gave us a clean, dry, comfortable room for the night. The location is funky and convenient and Lucy is a friendly and caring host.

Absolutely stunning Airbnb, one of if not the best we’ve ever stayed in (we’re doing a round the world trip so have stayed in a lot by now)! It was absolutely pristine, we felt like we were checking into a 5* hotel with the quality of the beds, linens, towels etc. It is genuinely nicer than the photos and more spacious, and it was so appreciated that Anita had some provisions and snacks like milk, chocolates, crisps and fruit there for us when we arrived. Anita is lovely and so friendly! She kindly greeted us at check in, showed us around and how everything works, and gave us some fantastic local recommendations which we did and thoroughly enjoyed, in particular the coastal trail to Paihia and getting the car ferry across the bay to go to Russell. The views over the bay, watching the boats come and go, are stunning. We didn’t use the BBQ that’s on the balcony but would have if we’d stayed longer, which I wish we had! Overall we couldn’t fault this place, and HIGHLY recommend staying

A single comment would never be enough to express our love for this stay in Whangārei! Elizabeth was the most welcoming and sweet host we've met during our trip. The private room with kitchenette and bathroom were perfectly as described and everything was clean. We looooooved the cottagecore decor, we truly felt like princesses + Elizabeth's quilting art was an amazing addition in the room! Thank you again for your kindness, we look forward to seeing you again and share another roast dinner when we come back to Whangārei :) <3

We really enjoyed our stay at Sandy's place. Our unit was really spacious & inviting. The unit is clean & has a great kitchen. We loved the Easter theme (cushions & Easter eggs) for our Easter break. Sandy offers off street parking which is fantastic. The unit is really quiet & the location is a very short drive to the Paihia & Opua. Thanks Sandy 🙂

We had an absolutely lovely stay with Annie in Aimeo Cottage …from the moment you walk in you feel at home … Annie is a fantastic host Super easy access …as you make your way thru a wonderland of flowers you already begin to relax… the garden setting is a small paradise …filled with wonderful exotic birdsong … total privacy … super crisp and clean space …. Awesome kitchen set up … everything you need is there. Great hikes out the front door. We just spent an entire month and loved every day. Thank you Annie for sharing your paradise. Very nice accommodation. Tastefully appointed and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. Location is very quiet in rural setting. Thanks to the absence if city lights, the stargazing from the front porch was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved staying at Sheenah's, the perfect spot for a solo dive weekend. This was a safe, cosy and gorgeous studio and I can't wait to come back.

Antje's place is a real gem. It is ideally located for exploring the Bay of Islands and is super comfortable. Antje is a wonderful host, with many local recommedations. We loved our stay and hope to be back. Highly recommended!

Absolutely the best hosts we've ever had! Not only was our place perfectly clean, it was also decorated with a very artistic style...one that I would love to recreate at our own home. All the attention to detail was really appreciated. From glasses to pots and pans and the basics including all necessities. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Lovely small marina town with everything within walking distance. I really can't express how much we loved our two week stay. We'll definitely be back! Thanks again Anita Jane and Matthew.

we enjoyed our stay at Frances Mary’s place. It is a handy location and walkable into town if the weather is kind. It wasn't kind for us. We loved all the little niknaks. The kitchen was well equipped. We would recommend this place for any couple wishing to stay at Whangarei.

Pacific Rendezvous is a great place to stay on the Tutukaka coast. It's within a short distance of the marina, restaurants, other facilities, and fabulous beaches. The resort has private beaches and lots of activities, such as tennis and a playground. The staff are friendly, warm, and accommodating of guest needs.

Truly excellent stay, Ian and Sue were lovely and the apartment so comfy and clean. We can’t wait to stay there again. Definitely do not miss the sunrise and the hidden beach!

This place was beautiful in the picture, but even more beautiful in reality. We chose this place to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we are very pleased. We enjoyed a three-course dinner prepared by ourselves with a breathtaking view in the background. We didn't even think about going to a restaurant, because no restaurant offers such a milieu. The nice pool and jacuzzi in the common area added even more value. Every moment was worth staying there and the price-quality ratio is perfectly balanced. The staff was very pleasant as well. Thank you very much for playing an important role in our important day!

We and our two kids thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ian and Sue’s. The stunning view is to die for. Quick access to beach was amazing. Although a motel, it offers very good privacy. Very family and kids friendly. Ian and Sue are quick to communicate and Ian was very welcoming when we arrived. To top it, the place was squeaky clean and adequately equipped. We will definitely be back.
