The Shepherds Hut was amazing, so cozy, clean and comfortable. Trish has thought of everything. The table and benches turn in to the bed base, with space underneath to store your bags. The bed was really comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. The shower was great, towels provided. It's in a really quiet location and we had the added pleasure of seeing a glorious peacock on our arrival ! Trish is a really great host, lots of attention to detail such as: fresh free range eggs, cans of gin and tonic, chocolate biscuits, milk and a bottle of cold water in the fridge. Plus marshmallows for melting by a fire and a jar of sweets. Games to play, a folder with details of local pubs (all dog friendly), maps for local walks and booklets of places to visit. We recommend the Red Lion at Castle Eaton, a really friendly and welcoming pub, with very tasty food. We really enjoyed our weekend, so much to do and right in the heart of the Cotswolds. Another absolutely wonderful stay at the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Letterbox is simply superb - great location, beautiful cottage equipped to the highest of standards with so many thoughtful touches and a host that goes above and beyond to ensure that her guests feel at home and have a wonderful stay. 10/10 all round, there is nothing that could be improved on. We enjoyed a very peaceful stay, while husband and daughter were learning to sail at the nearby sailing club. The living room and bedrooms were comfortable, and I enjoyed sitting in the sunny garden. The cottage is tucked away very privately, but is a short walk from the main street of Lechlade. We enjoyed lunches at the New Inn.
