“Myself and hubbie went just after easing the lockdown measures on a 1 week trip to Mark and Suzzane's cabin huts. We were absolutely stunned by the level of cleanness, hospitality and tranquility we found. Honestly, it feels like time just stops here and you can relax and unwind. The weather wasn't too good, but we will comw back in September to do some stargazing, as it is a fantastic place for astro photography. Totally recommended this place to anyone! ❤️”
Very small tiny little 1 Bedroom cottage in the heart of Yorkshire moors, with many original features . Comfortably sleeps two. Perfect for a little getaway with no phone internet or television. Pub over the road, lots of walks and activities in the Moors National Park. Seventeen miles to Whitby and the coast. Please note the cottage is very small the living room is 2.75mX 3.4m with a kitchen 2mX1.14m. Bedroom is 2.8mX 2.65m. Please note ceiling height to beams in bedroom is 1.88m.
“This cottage is tiny, but it had everything one would need to enjoy a short stay in the North York Moors. The heating unit on the first floor made the space super cozy, especially when you're surrounded by shelves and shelves of books! And the small kitchen has the basics you would need to cook anything you may buy from the Co-op that's only a few doors down from the cottage. Parking in town is pretty easy as long as you have a small enough car. Even with our larger Nissan vehicle, we were able to find a place late at night. The bed is extremely comfortable, especially with the heating pad turned on. The bath water also warmed quickly, and the windows on both floors provided extremely pleasing light during the morning and afternoon. Everything about this place is a relaxing and quiet getaway. And our walk down the block to the tea room in the morning was very cool too! So many kind people in this town and across all the towns in the Moors. You can't pass up the opportunity to stay in this historic house (around 200 years old!). And the booklet that James provides on the history of the cottage and the town is very good too! It really helped me appreciate our short stay even more.”
Located in the town centre and very close to the harbour and abbey, Bumble Bee Studio is warm, comfortable and cosy. There is a kitchenette (with kettle, toaster, grill, microwave, sink and small fridge) and an en suite shower room. I can almost always offer a parking place directly outside the property or close by (the town's big events may be the exception). The studio is a perfect base for singles or couples who wish to explore this beautiful coastline. Limited head height (6' 4'').
“Had a lovely stay at the Bumblebee studio. Cosy, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Felt like a home away from home! Julie has also compiled a nice big folder of attractions, maps and restaurants in Whitby which proved to be helpful too. The location was central with the added bonus of parking which was much appreciated as we came a long way and parking can be such a pain at the seaside! Hope to return again soon as it was a great experience. 10/10”
