This self-contained tiny annexe with private entrance is attached to a 550 year-old former Mill in the rural hamlet of Ponsworthy, 3 miles from the famous Widecombe. Kitchenette, very small shower room, extremely steep staircase ascending to cosy bedroom with seating area + Sky TV. Outdoor seating area surrounded by trees and the sound of the river. Windtor makes a perfect location for active guests who like adventure, hiking, cycling and horse riding & there is never a dull day in Widecombe! The moor is on the doorstep & for many people this is the main attraction. The beaches are 40 minutes away and the 2 Moors Way is nearby and this takes you right through to Exmoor. The Rugglestone and The Old Inn in Widecombe do a thriving trade and are both worth a visit. We offer EV charging at competitive rates and installed a new kitchen in 2024.

The Apiary is a converted hayloft sitting at the end of a 16th Century Dartmoor Farmhouse, a short ten-minute walk from Widecombe in the Moor and 200m from the Two Moors Way. With it’s own private parking & entrance, the elegantly furnished room features an eclectic mix of antique furniture and Smeg kitchen appliances. From April to August, wander 50m down the road to a five-acre wildflower meadow with a Dartmoor stream and a collection of wild orchids & swathes of native wildflowers.

Ivy Cottage is our beautiful thatched cottage in Ilsington, Dartmoor. Three bedrooms (sleeping 6), and a log burner that earns its keep when the weather turns. Wet boots by the door, logs on the fire, and Netflix if you don't want to go out! Dartmoor is right there — Haytor, the ponies, a good long walk and a cream tea! Ilsington is a small and quiet village. The village pub closes 26 September; others around Haytor and Bovey Tracey. Parking available outside the cottage!
