The Shepherd’s Hut, Bath

In the summer of 2019 we installed a brand new shepherd’s hut in our large garden. The hut, built by a local company, is sat in an open space away from our own house, and has a great view down the garden. It is fully equipped with: Double bed TV Underfloor heating Bose bluetooth speaker Free WiFi Toilet and shower room with shampoo and shower gel Microwave Single hob Toaster & kettle Iron and ironing board Coffee & tea Breakfast cereals, our own free range eggs, bread, butter, jams and juices

Our cosy waggon overlooks its own private valley, complete with 19th Century coachbridge and secluded wild swimming spot. Set in 25 acres of woodland and pasture, our waggon offers an opportunity to switch off, curl up with a book and get back to nature. It includes an ensuite with shower and its own kitchen.. Only 10 minutes away from Bruton, handy for The Newt and Hauser & Wirth. Westcombe Dairy & Woodsheddings Brewery taproom is a 3 minute walk and the Three Horseshoes a 20 minute stroll.

An equally beautiful and relaxing retreat in summer or winter.

A light and airy spacious Shepherds hut set in a beautiful English garden adjacent to a paddock. Great for a couple wanting to get away for a short break in the countryside and ideal for visiting Stonehenge 15 mins. by car, Bath 50mins. and Salisbury 25 mins. A good stop over point for cyclists on the King Alfred’s way route. The friendly village of Tilshead is located at the heart of Salisbury Plain. Excellent Italian food available at the Rose and Crown Pub 50 yards walk away.

"Hares Rest" shepherd hut is situated in a private location within a paddock with amazing rural views. Hares, red kites, barn swallows and deer are just some of the wild life you can see. Good pubs within various walking distance (3, 30 and 45 mins). Bowood House, adventure park, golf course and spa is 5 mins drive away. The train station is a 10 minute drive with easy access to Bath. We have horses so only very well behaved dogs are allowed by prior agreement and additional charge.

Made from locally grown and sawn larchwood and largely fitted out from locally reclaimed timber All electric is solar generated and all water is filtered ground water, (tested crystal clear by wessex laboratories). Compost from the toilet is used for tree planting on site. She is ideally suited for single travellers or couples and couples with children.

It's a 20 min drive to the UNESCO world heritage city of Bath & 6 mins to the beautiful town of Bradford on Avon with its canals, rivers & station. A Lovely cedar wood shingle studio with privacy in a beautiful garden full of bird song, and views to Pentridge hill. The studio has a very comfortable double bed, a sofa and wood burning stove for warmth and cosiness. There is an oval table to sit, eat or work at, surrounded by windows letting the sunlight stream in. The kitchen has is a small cooker and fridge and the basics for simple good cooking. The bathroom has a shower with plenty of hot water.
