Once upon a time there were 3 USC graduates from Newport Beach, CA that went to Tahiti to escape the rat-race. They were known as the “Bali Hai Boys”. Long story short – they ended up staying, founding a chain of resorts – Bali Hai Hotels, inventing the overwater bungalow used by many top resorts and raising families with beautiful local Tahitian “vahines”. My wooden and bamboo house is full of charm. Open to a pretty wooded plot, it is decorated with art objects that my father made on the beach. Warm, it is rocked by the surf of the waves on the nearby reef. During the whale season, you can see the cetaceans jumping a few meters from the fringing reef.
