Nearby, there is a castle (The castle of Reuland is one of the most beautiful and largest ruins of the Ardennes) and the St. Stephen's Church to visit. You can hike (hiking trails available) and bike in nature. Bicycles can be rented from the tourist office in the village. In the snow, you can go cross-country skiing in Rodt.

This allows you to enjoy the special location in the middle of the nature of the old forest worker's house, while being only 900 m from the town of Mechernich. The house is located directly on a bike path and thus offers a good starting point for bike tours in the region.

Buchholz is a small place with 7 houses, which is located in the middle of the forest and directly on the RAVEL bike and hiking trail, which merges directly into the Kyll bike path near the border. The ideal place for nature lovers, whether hikers, cross-country skiers, road cyclists or mountain bikers, everyone gets their money's worth.

Lonely House

Completely renovated former flagman's house situated on the international cycling trail "RAVEL" which leads from Troisvierges (Luxembourg) to Aachen (Germany), 125 km. The railway tracks were demolished and flooded. The house is now situated near a small stream, surrounded bay nature in complete quietness, far from any settlement.

We rent a detached, former farmhouse (100 m²), which was completely renovated in 2021/22. It can accommodate up to 6 people and is ideal for families, hikers and all those looking for nature, peace and relaxation. Only 3 km away is the Lietzenhof golf course with its 18-hole course surrounded by beautiful nature.
