I loved my two week stay at the farm! I came looking for a peaceful getaway from the city and to get a taste of life out in the Wisconsin countryside, and was definitely not disappointed. The farm is way up in the hills surrounded by nothing but land, and always an enjoyed the 10-15 minute drive down into town for supplies. I worked remotely while there, my first time using Starlink internet, and was very impressed with the speed. The place is very homey and cozy, with great amenities, comfortable bed, and warm heat. It was fun being able to watch the cows from the window, too :) Kayla had great suggestions for the area which was appreciated. I was wishing I could stay longer, and also wish I had taken the opportunity to purchase and grill the fresh beef options available! I definitely do hope to return one day.

Our group of nature-loving friends was excited to find the farmhouse Ben Logan wrote about so lovingly was actually available to rent. We enjoyed seeing/being in the places he describes. We came for that reason, but will be back for the absolute peace and quiet and the beauty of the land. To be in a place where all you hear is birds, wind, leaves and grasses rustling, insects buzzing is a rare joy in this increasingly urbanized world - so restful. Re the house itself you can tell that this is a place that's been loved for many decades, first by the Logans and now Donna and family. Exceeded expectations in every way - thank you!

Staying at this charming bungalow was a delightful experience, and I would have extended my stay if it hadn’t already been booked. Upon entering the home, I felt my entire body exhale and instantly felt a sense of relaxation. This beautifully restored residence perfectly balances the character of an older building with the modern comforts of a pristine kitchen and bathroom. Its prime location makes it easy to explore downtown Prairie du Chien on foot or take enjoyable day trips. It’s also an ideal spot for anyone needing to work remotely. One of the highlights of my stay was the time I spent on the screened porch, where I enjoyed meals, reading, and tackled some work tasks. I loved my time here, and I hope it's available when I return to the area again!
