Cottage holiday rentals in Wyre District

We had a wonderful stay in this cottage. The setting is perfect with canal walks straight from the door. The cottage is light, spacious and beautifully decorated. The enclosed garden is very private and there was plenty of space for our dog to explore. Amy was a great host. She provided everything we needed and left us an amazing box of goodies. We would highly recommend this property and would love to stay again.

Absolutely stunning cottage. Amazing location with beautiful views. Cottage was immaculate with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We had a lovely short stay we used the games room which is a fabulous resource. Garstang is a short drive away if you want to eat out but to be honest if you want a quiet break in beautiful surroundings this is your place. We are already looking at returning next spring 🙂

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

We have just returned from a few nights away staying at this little piece of paradise. If you’re after a tranquil, relaxing holiday then this is the place to stay. From the house itself, to the spectacular views , the amazing pool house and the lovely, friendly neighbours, this place ticks all the boxes and more. Highly recommend visiting The Queens Arms for a meal (or just a cheeky drink), the staff are so friendly and just made our time away extra special. Malham is only a 20 min (ish) drive away and is stunning (a must see). The only thing I would advise is to make sure you take plenty of supplies (or do an online shop for delivery as we did) as the local shop is a 20min drive away. Thankyou again David, we will definitely be back.

Hermitage cottage was in a beautiful situation right on the river Lune. The cottage was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the barbecue and the outdoor seating. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and really enjoyed our stay. Walks around the estate were lovely. It is a lovely base to explore the Forest of Bowland and surrounding areas.

Wonderfully peaceful location. Holly Toft is a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. We paticularly appreciated how much care was given to ensuring the hot tub was spotlessly clean and freshly filled for our arrival. Kathryn is a superb host who clearly cares a lot about her guests. The field full of adorable lambs to look out on was a delightful bonus! Highly recommend! Thank you Kathryn.

Derek and Kath are lovely hosts, right from arrival they were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was very well presented and had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The surrounding areas are great for long walks and the location has some nice walks too! Going with our dog, he loved the big open spaces to explore and enjoyed the little stream/river at the foot of the hill. Would definitely recommend for a nice quiet location where you can go enjoy the neighboring towns and walks and then return back to the cottage for a cosy night to relax.

We have had a wonderful time at Granary Cottage. The place was spotless, extremely well equipped and comfortable in a fabulous part of the country with so many super places to eat and to visit. All Peter’s information was so helpful, thank you. It is by far one of the best properties we have ever stayed in, in both this country and across the world. Lovely well equipped cottage, had everything we needed. Great location with easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Perfect for anyone who likes a bit of walking! Jonathan was very helpful and responsive, we had a great week. Would definitely go back!

Beautiful property, very clean and well presented. It had everything we needed for a wonderful 3 night stay while we walked each of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. Great location to reach the start of each walk, supermarket and nice pubs if you have a car. Village was so pretty and locals very friendly. Beds very comfortable and gorgeous views from every window. Communication from the owner was excellent. Thank you!

Booked a couple of nights here with our whippets. A good size and the bed was really fantastic; large and very comfortable. I do like a dark bedroom, and the thing I would add is that black out blinds or curtains would have been the icing on the cake for me. really great little cottage.

Great stay. Perfect base for our 3 peaks walk. Clean, clutter free and dog friendly. Powerful shower to help ease our weary limbs. Comfy bed, sofa and the kitchen had most things we needed for our stay. And great value for money. What more could you want!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The cottage is a mini home from home and having the little private garden at the back was definitely the icing on the cake. We try to get back to the area regularly as having moved away after 25 years of living in the area, we have friends to catch up with, we will definitely re book and stay here again. Loved it

Myself, my wife, kids and dogs had a fantastic stay in high Bentham. What a great location, plenty to do which ever way you like to turn out of the cottage. We’d like to thank Lee for the great stay, which was clean and as described in the listing. Plenty of room for us all over the 3nights 4days. If we’re ever back in the area, we will be contacting Lee again that’s for sure!

Just like previous reviews, I have only positive things to say about Anthony and this property. The photos don’t do the house and location justice. The house had everything we needed, was clean, tidy and comfortable. The location is so peaceful and neighbours all very friendly. The local shop is a 5 minute walk as is the local pub (with another pub about a 15 minute walk away through the village). My wife and 2 kids absolutely loved this place and it made for what was a very relaxing weekend. I will definitely be returning here! Anthony was also very proactive in emailing out instructions & directions and also very quick to respond to messages which was very reassuring. I would 100% recommend this place!

The Granny House was a beautiful home, spotlessly clean, well equipped and very spacious. Stunning walks from the door got this holiday off to a flying start. Jeanne's communication was excellent and she got back to us really quickly when I had a query the week before. She was also incredibly understanding and generous spirited about an accidental breakage....

Me and my partner stayed here for a weekend away and it was amazing. The cottage itself was beautiful on the inside and out. Very clean and tidy and had every amenity you could want. From a coffee machine to a food processor. There were also a variety of board games and helpful books about the cottage and activities. Very very spacious given the price and felt very luxurious and cosy. Felt immediately at home and I would LOVE to come and stay again once the barn is renovated as that also looks amazing. We went on a walk and saw some stunning views, while of course stopping to see the cows. Amazing amazing amazing. Would absolutely go again!

We’ve just got back from a week’s stay at this gorgeous cottage and we didn’t want to leave. Firstly the cottage itself. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and so comfortable and cosy. Everything is high end and Rachel had thought of everything. On a day when the weather wasn’t so great we cooked a meal effortlessly. We’ve never slept so well either - that bed was so comfy! Secondly, Rachel was amazing. When our cat was seriously ill she was really kind and let us move our holiday dates, which we really appreciated. She was really responsive and helpful. Finally, the location is perfect. Just a very short walk away from all amenities, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, petrol station etc but still a lovely quiet location. The neighbours are lovely too. Already looking forward to coming back!

Me and my daughter had a lovely couple of days at Michelle’s place. Comfy beds, peaceful location and lots of lovely walks nearby. Would definitely recommend. Michelle was a great host and always answered any messages promptly. Thanks again.

Holly Cottage was perfect for our short stay in Lancashire to visit family. Super close to Lancaster and Garstang as well as easy access to the motorway. Our golden retriever loved the garden which is ideal if you have a dog in tow due to it being secure.
