Dittyville

From the moment we stepped over the threshold, we felt happy. Erynn's friends were playing music! Her books were so eclectic and wonderful that I wish we were snowbound and did not have to continue our journey. Everything worked beautifully, of course. But our delight goes far beyond any standard list. I'll name two: lovely antique salt and pepper shaker on the silver tray. She made scones ahead, froze them, then they were baked fresh for our morning. The willow limbs danced in the wind and rain but we were cozy and peaceful and buoyed in Erynn's

I stay here every year on my drive to and from a festival. The stay is always clean and easy, and Cynthia is a lovely host. I’d give it ten starts if I could!

The Pines of Hillsville - Camper

KendalRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I brought my two young sons to Dave's place, and we had the best weekend! The RV was clean and looked very new inside. It was easy to cook and clean up after, and the mattress in the main compartment was very comfortable. The trails were well groomed and it had a beautiful landscape. There are areas on the various trails that make it look like you have gone to a whole new property. From the pine trees to the hardwoods and creeks, it really was wonderful to hike on. We saw multiple deer and turkey while on our walks. I would recommend this property to everyone.

Rural Mountain Retreat

LeahRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Shaun and Alexander and their two boys were fun to stay with. They are active gardeners and have chickens, a dog and a couple very nice cats. The setting is very rural as Shaun described. If you're looking for privacy you'll have it in your room. The house is an active home with kids during the daytime. However, the family gets to bed very early and it's very quiet after 8pm. I am quite so I felt comfortable enjoying the shared space in the evening. I will stay again.

On the New River: New River Hideout 1

KimberlyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Absolutely amazing stay! So easy and convenient to get to, extremely clean, quiet, private, right on the edge of the New River. We live in Winston Salem and it was the perfect easy, close by get away. Brought our kayaks and were able to kayak several nice stretches on the river - from Ivanhoe boat ramp straight to the front door of the camper. Keithe is the best host we've had - attentive, kind, generous, hospitable, genuine. thought of everything, answered every question and had everything pristine and waiting for us. You can't beat having everything setup before you get there and not having to tear any of it down. Way better than when we go camping. Would also be a great experience for anyone wanting to get into camping/ glamping. So peaceful to have our quiet fore then fall asleep to the gentle sounds of the river outside the door. Thank you so much!
