The accommodation is in a quiet residential neighborhood with good security, in a good location 5 minutes on foot from JR Yamashina Station and 5 minutes on foot from Yamashina Station on the subway Tozai Line. This area is home to many people, so there are many supermarkets, 24-hour convenience stores, restaurants, bars, and other eateries, so you won't have any trouble while traveling. The accommodation is located in a residential neighborhood, so it is very quiet at night, so you can stay and experience it with peace of mind as if you were living in Japan. You can easily access Kyoto's tourist attractions by using public transportation such as trains and buses from JR Yamashina Station and Yamashina Subway Station, the nearest stations. The private rental accommodation "Takasegawa Shichijo" is a fully renovated 115-year-old traditional Kyoto townhouse. The traditional Kyoto townhouse, which forms part of the beautiful scenery of Kyoto, has been redesigned as a building with high airtightness and thermal insulation, while retaining its original structure, so that you can enjoy a comfortable stay even in the humid and hot summers and harshly cold winters that are unique to Kyoto. From the Japanese-style room on the first floor, you can see the tsubo garden, which is designed to resemble a "roji" (*a garden leading to a tea room). There is also a sofa in the hallway where you can relax and enjoy the view of the tsubo garden. In the evening, you can spend a relaxing time watching the illuminated tsubo garden. There are two bedrooms on the second floor: a Japanese-style room with two single beds and a Western-style room with two single beds. If there are 5 or more guests, we ask that you use the Japanese-style room on the first floor as a bedroom by laying out futons, though this may be a bit inconvenient. The kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils and tableware for simple cooking.
