Built 130 years ago, the renovated old private house "Shiki no Ie" is quietly located in the Tsunahashi area of Misaka-cho, in the eastern part of Gifu Prefecture. It is an old private house inn where you can feel the changing seasons with your skin, overlooking a pure stream and calm fields through the large cherry trees in front of you, with a rich natural forest behind it. While retaining the tasteful appearance of the old house, such as the exterior and beams, the functions necessary for comfortable accommodation, such as the water circulation and bedrooms, have been improved, and the old Japanese charm and modern, high-quality space have been combined. One of the five roads of the Edo period, close to the historic road "Nakasendo" that connects Nihonbashi in Edo and Sanjo Ohashi in Kyoto via the inland route, Shiki-no-Ie is located between the 49th post town of Utaki-juku and the 48th post town of Hosokute-juku (Mizunami City). And also this is a detached house, your privacy is completely protected so you won’t be disturbing the neighbors even if you make a little noise. We’ve decorated the space with plenty of Japanese anime figures so that our guests can enjoy the unique experience of staying in such an unusual home.

This is a traditional Japanese house with a large entrance and white "Noren" curtains. You can rent the entire house out, and it's for up to four people per day. (There are two bedrooms.) There is a private outdoor sauna in the garden. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available, so you can use it for work space, etc. There is also a library of 5,000 books, and hammocks and personal chairs are also available. You can relax and enjoy reading your favorite books.
