Lovely home (year 2020) in a truly unique location. Located right down to the water with its own sandy beach and where you can swim all year round. The home contains a sauna with a window to the water, from where you can really enjoy the sight of the calm water while completely disconnecting. For the house there are also 3 canoes / kayaks and associated life jackets, so you can enjoy one of Denmark's largest lakes, which is also connected to the Gudenåen. You can also fish directly from the house where the lake is rich in fish.

If you want to experience Denmark from its beautiful and quiet side, then “Vidkærhøj” is the place for you. The home is part of our property from the 1870s, and was originally an old barn, which we have lovingly restored over the past few years. It is centrally located between Aarhus, Silkeborg and Skanderborg. It is high up here, and if you like, our dog, Aggie, would love to greet you, just as our cats, chickens and rooster are also very curious. We can’t wait to host you 🤗

Cabin to the nature lovers

Experience nature close to Rørbæk lake, at the Jutland ridge, (30 min. walk from the cabin), springs Denmark's two largest rivers, Gudenåen and Skjernåen, with only a few hundred meters distance and runs in different directions towards the sea(10 min. walk from the cabin) In the same place, Hærvejen crosses the river valley. Wake up every day with different birdsong. From Billund airport by bus it is about 2 hours to the cabin We hope you enjoy the area as much as we do!

Welcome to our cozy one room apartment in the countryside. The apartment is located in a separate annex in connection with our house (we have two apartments in the same annex). So you have your own place with a fully equiped kitchen, a bathroom, a terrace and a small green space. The terrace and the green space is shared with the other apartment in the annex. Enjoy some relaxing days in peace and quiet. We look forward to meeting you.
