Located in the middle of Mt. Banquet, with a panoramic view of Tsuruga City, this inn offers a limited set of farming and horseback riding experiences per day. You can harvest freshly laid eggs and cook eggs at the farm cafe for breakfast, or omelette made by the host. We renovated an old private house so that you can have a more comfortable stay while retaining the goodness of Japanese mansions such as Japanese-style rooms and rim sides. It is run by a farm that practices animal-well fair, which is rare in the country. Spend a healing time on a natural farm with pony riding (junior high school students or younger), walking and interacting with animals (chickens, goats, ponies).(Included in your stay) I can't speak English, but I'll do my best to provide hospitality. We are located in ideal countryside which you can see offthebeathen Japan. Bed room is Japanese Tatami room. You can relax at wooden flooring living room. We are connectin with locals. So we can guide you local events or place, also take you to meet locals. Also we do several renovation work, so you can join in Japnaese traditional house renovation workshop. We have 2 kids and 1 cat living in the house. so if you have any allergy, please tell us beforehand.we will bring cat to another house.

Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

"Kyoto's Oyasuji" is a private townhouse 5 minutes on foot from Keihan Shimizu Gojo Station.

Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee. The price is scheduled to increase from March 2026.
