The Fish House is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay! My husband & I found it to be quite spacious for 2 people. The location was perfect; we were there from Sunday-Wednesday, and it was quiet and peaceful the whole time. It was conveniently located to Irvington, White Stone and Kilmarnock and all those towns have to offer! The A/C is brand new, and very effective against the Virginia heat and humidity. The kitchen had all the essentials for preparing food, and we appreciated the coffee & tea supplies that were provided! The bed is comfortable and we slept well. We spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the water. As a bird watcher, it was so relaxing to view the local wildlife with the binoculars provided. Michelle is a wonderful host! Her instructions are clear, and checking in and out was easy. She also answered all our questions promptly, and thoroughly. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway on the Northern Neck, stay at The Fish House!

Location, location, location! Being right on the beach and having such a beautifully cultivated outdoor space was so nice! Really enjoyed amenities like the outdoor shower, beach chairs, and the hot tub.

My adult son said this was the best airbnb pick I'd made over the years! We rested AND had fun switching between pickleball, basketball, putting and kayaking. Kitchen was the perfect size and had all the basics for cooking a full meal. Beds were comfortable, roomy and every room had great views of the water and property. We loved everything about our stay

Anne's place was just spectacular! Perfect for 2 couples as our home-base to explore Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. The high end furnishings are beautiful. The patio, yard and lake view were wonderful. We enjoyed the theater room each night. Thank you for a great vacation.

Lovely setting and apartment! Host acknowledged our anniversary stay with a personal note and thoughtful details. We enjoyed using the kayaks. The space was clean and welcoming. The setting is so peaceful... lovely to hear the many birds and the sound of the water lapping against the rocks. The internet connection was slow, but not a detriment to our weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the Front Porch Coffee House (Kilmarnock) and the Sandpiper Restaurant (White Stone) as well.

Amy and Andy are excellent hosts! I had so much fun. I was just a little disappointed in the wi-fi/internet connection but Andy is doing his best to correct it. This is my second time staying here and I will be coming back! I highly recommend it!

I would definitely stay here again! My absolute favorite part was the deck outside. It had so much seating and a table with an umbrella. The home was lovely. The queen size bed was comfy. The space on the side of the bed with the wall is awkward because the intake vent is there, and that vent is also loud and annoying. Just wear earplugs! We added two of the wooden tray tables from the closet as night stands. The house is clean except the floor, which I'd imagine is hard to sweep or mop because the boards have shifted, making the floor uneven with cracks through out. So the floor felt and looked a bit dirty, but you're by the beach with sand, so eh not a problem.

This is the second time I've stayed at Tamara's place and I would absolutely stay again. The place is exactly what you expect and they have excellent instructions. Wonderful people, peaceful location, and you always know what to expect.

Very cozy, comfortable cottage with charm and modern upgrades. Private and quiet; lovely view of the water. Comfortable beds and sofa. All amenities, just like home. Three TVs, large screens in LR and MSBR. Large screened porch overlooking water. Hosts were responsive and helpful.

The location was tucked away in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the York River. The house was exceptionally clean and they had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The Bluetooth speaker was a nice bonus for listening to music while overlooking the river from the sitting room. We had a minor issue with the plumbing, but they quickly reacted and it did not interfere with our trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly book again in this same location.

We had a wonderful visit to Ashley’s beautiful home in Gloucester. The house and property were spacious and beautiful. You will LOVE your stay. Ashley is an outstanding Superhost.

We had a two night stay at this beautiful house. Everything was nice and clean. We loved sitting on the deck, overlooking the river. It was a perfect place to drink our morning coffee!

Talk about being sad 😢to leave! Sometimes a location for an air BnB just hits it out of the park, and this is a great example. We LOVED our stay and took advantage of the yard and beautiful view daily! We fished off the dock and shore. Tip, since it is tidal water as long as you are on the shore or dock you don’t need a fishing license. Our pups loved the yard and going for a swim. There are a lot of great places to eat within a 30min drive. We were on a work trip, but would love to come back when we could take advantage of everything this place has to offer. It’s a gem! The surrounding area is fun to explore if you like antiques and boutiques. We loved the local vibe! You will have a great time.

We had the most amazing weekend staying at this cozy cottage for my son’s birthday getaway. From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The space was clean, beautifully decorated, and had such a peaceful, welcoming vibe. It truly felt like peace from the moment we stepped out of the car. The cottage had everything we needed. It made settling in so easy and stress-free, especially with little one in tow. The hosts were beyond incredible. Their warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. They even went out of their way to help make my son’s birthday feel extra special by letting us do cake with family in their backyard, which meant the world to us. This trip was full of sweet memories, and a huge part of that was thanks to this beautiful cottage and its amazing hosts. Of my many Airbnb stays, Laura’s comes up with the very best. Her home is lovely, inside and out, with a lot of fun activities to choose from. Located on a beautiful creek opening to wide water gave us a chance to explore in her kayaks and paddle board. Rainy weather meant indoor board games, reading etc on the beautiful protected porch. The kitchen had all sorts of amenities for cooking. Plenty of bedrooms for sleeping in the peaceful atmosphere. I can’t wait to return there!

Gorgeous ocean views, great location, the balcony was the favorite spot the entire stay! Comfortable furniture, nice little cozy condo! Highly recommend the stay if you’re in the area!

This is truly a hidden gem in Cape Charles! We recently stayed for the long holiday weekend and loved every minute of our trip. The apartment is absolutely beautiful and the location couldn't be better. We enjoyed having the ability to walk around town and have stores and restaurants so close by. The host was friendly and helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. We look forward to staying here again!

What an amazing stay! I've never been satisfied with an Airbnb, the photos always are so much nicer than the reality - but Big Blue was actually even better than advertised! Merlyn's communication prior to arrival made things very easy. Accessing the unit was simple, and I felt safe with the self-locking doors. The unit was clean and so comfortable, with many personal touches - I instantly felt at home. I was overjoyed when I arrived and toured the unit. Really exceeded my expectations which was such a different feeling than all the other Airbnb I've rented over the years. The beach access was tidy and pretty, the gym and beach gear a nice touch, and the foot wash station was appreciated after my morning walks with the dog. I really can't say enough great things about my stay here. Hosts were friendly and helpful every step of the way. We mostly spent our time traveling around the area from VA Beach to OBX so I can't speak much about Norfolk/Ocean View. I would def rent Big Blue again.

The villa was the perfect place for our family to stay for graduation weekend at William and Mary. Plenty of space and very comfortable. Setting was lovely and great for walks in our down time. The only issue we had was the villa was not ready at the designated check in time and we had to wait an hour before we could get in.

We had an outstanding stay! Three generations and a one night trip and yet this host and house made it feel like a whole weekend getaway. The unit is spacious and wrapped in ocean views! The three rooms are great sizes and the beds were very comfortable so was the temperature in the unit. The kitchen was just like home maybe nicer and fully stocked so you can cook or bake! Ice maker and coolers and so much toys for the kiddos we didn’t have anything with us and yet needed nothing! This was a breathtaking trip in a home away from home and Mike and his cute pups were wonderful company when we crossed paths. We can’t wait to come back and highly recommend this to anyone wanting a care free amazing trip! Don’t think twice, book!

Lovely stay. Kingsmill setting is beautiful. So much to do in Williamsburg area. Dave’s place was so comfortable, clean, well appointed and convenient to all.

Kingsmill is a naturally beautiful planned community where you could have lots of adventure and sport out of your back door with options for dining and exploration or you could just enjoy the beautiful views of the James River and the sounds of nature around you. Highly recommend for either!

Jared was an excellent host. The unit was exactly as described and very easy to find. He responded to all inquiries very quickly. This might have been our best Airbnb experience so far.
