This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. We had a wonderful stay with Daisuke, he was warm and generous from the very start meeting us at the train station and we felt very comfortable in his home. We enjoyed the area of town, lovely winding streets with little hidden restaurants and a relaxed atmosphere. We hope to stay again!

Very, very satisfied experience with one stay!I finally got to live in the machiya of my dreams. This trip to Kyoto was arranged because I got a two-day homestay, and it didn't disappoint me at all!Great location, about 200 meters from the door you can take 203.204, it is very convenient to go to Kinkakuji Temple, Kiyomizu Temple and the business district!I could only stay in Kyoto for two days, so time was tight, leaving early and returning late, I didn't have time to enjoy this house, it's a work of art!I must come back to Kyoto when the red maple season comes, and I must snatch the room at that time!

I will definitely recommend this space to family and friends. The room was large by Japanese standards and tastefully decorated, with lots of wood. Your host has limited presence at the location, but is easily accessible. Very close to metro exit and bus stop. Shared bicycles and scooters at the door. 15 min walk from Gion, the river bank and the big shopping street. I'll be back!
