From here you can enjoy a fantastic view all the way to the North Sea, with sunset on the horizon over Algrøy. When it blows on the ocean, you can see white sea spraying up islets and cut all the west to Løno. If you arrive by kayak or boat, you can walk to the bird box from the spring. Bergen Airport Flesland is 40 minutes away by car. The ideal spot for hiking, exploring Bergen and the fjords, or just enjoy the peace and quiet at this inland island of Osterøy. Famous attractions like Flåm, Gudvangen, Sognefjord, Hardangerfjord, Voss and Trolltunga within daytrip distance.

Hytten er tegnet av kunstner og eieren av hytten. Den ligger på et vakkert kulturbeite med panorama utsikt utover Bøfjorden, Sognefjorden og fjellene. Urtehage, blomstereng og en liten gressplen skaper en idyllisk atmosfære. Hytten ligger ca 100 m over havet, med turmuligheter direkte til Bø-heia like ved, samt spektakulære turmuligheter en kort biltur unna. Bygden Leirvik har et lite tettsted, ca 2,5 km fra hytten, med en matbutikk og hotell, samt et skipsverft nede ved fjorden.
