Our small and cozy hotel has a very convenient location. The hotel is located just next to train station Koog aan de Zaan. From here it takes only 15 minutes to Amsterdam city center, 10 minutes to the famous dutch windmill village Zaanse Schans and 5 minutes to the center of Zaandam. Here you can find many shops, bars and restaurants. The rooms are just newly renovated and every room has a new private bathroom. This room also has a roofterrace. There is great history behind the hotel. The Vergulden Eenhoorn was established in 1702 as a city farm and used to be one of very few farmhouses the city of Amsterdam has. Together with the city of Amsterdam the farmhouse was fully renovated to modern standards, while maintaining the historic value and its features.
