House holiday rentals in Zanzibar Archipelago

Fukuchani Inn is wonderful - the staff is pleasant, kind, and very willing to help with whatever you might need. Everyone was friendly and we had a wonderful stay. The Inn is right near the ocean, a quick little walk to a beautiful (albeit rocky) beach, and it's very close (about 15 mins) from Nungwi beach. And the pool is lovely! We stayed in the 2-bedroom Villa and it was perfect for my family, plenty of space and very clean. And of course I have to mention Daisy, the basset hound!! Such a friendly and good girl :) We would love to come back one day - overall, great stay :) Friendly reminder to travelers, Tanzania and Zanzibar often have power outages, and this includes A/C - but they only lasted a few mins each time, and the staff aims to provide as comfortable a stay as possible.

Stayed 9 nights with my husband (June 2025). Great communication. Got collected at the airport by Suileman (sorry if spelling is wrong!)..we had a hire car so husband followed us behind..would be very hard to find otherwise. We were greeted by Said and Josephine with fresh coconuts... the house is just like the photos. Absolutely stunning. Beautiful gardens and clean pool with incredible views. Incredibly clean..bedrooms were gorgeous as was the bathrooms. Everything you may need was included. Staff were so helpful. Said took my husband out to show us where to buy bread. There are 2 local supermarkets...very expensive and mostly sold UK products! Air-conditioning upstairs but not down..I was incredibly hot. There are fans but still humid and hot. All in all..a fantastic holiday. The beach by villa isn't the best..very rocky..but beautiful views from patio area. Watch out for bugs and lizards.. but that's Africa! A truly memorable holiday. We will return one day. Easy 5 stars.

Absolutely loved our stay here, the home was exactly like the photos if not better, we were welcomed with them most helpful, hands on, amazing staff. The location as well was perfect right on the beach and close to everywhere in Jambiani, would recommend this place if you are planning to come to Zanzibar !!

Our stay in Uroa was wonderful. Emanuele put us in touch with his property manager who helped us with everything from airport transfers, setting up tours and even getting some medicine when some of our family came down with the flu. Uroa is a little bit remote in terms of amenities but that is what we were looking for. There are a few local restaurants within walking distance on the beach but not much more than that. We enjoyed walking the beach every day, swimming and wading out to the sand bar at low tide. There are also people/companies on the beach if you want to setup snorkeling tours or watersports. The caretaker and the housekeeper do a wonderful job keeping up the property and the housekeeper even made a few meals for us with the groceries we bought in Stonetown! The house was beautiful and in good repair. Beds were good and the pool was great to relax in. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay, just what we needed at the end of our trip to Tanzania!

Rashid was a great host. His communication was really good and the villa was really clean and big. We enjoyed our time here and really recommend it to other people!

Lovely villa, very private and super views of the water. The place is literally on the beach. Full access to the huge resort pool next door but we loved the private pool more. Great chill out for a few days in Zanzibar.

2 weeks in this house was really peaceful and nice. The general manager Mudy and also Anna were very proactive. The house is situated in a very quiet environment and we could walk 15 minutes to Kendwa beach. Otherwise we took moto taxis. I really recommand this place

Ernst is a very good gatsgeber . He responds immediately and always helps. Everything is very well organized. He has arranged the help on site very well. There is always a contact person there. Maybe think about an emergency power unit......The house is located directly on the beach , just a few steps to the sea. Absolutely quiet location. Thank you very much for the nice time there.

Me and my friends had such an amazing experience as our first time in zanzibar and staying at the waterfront staycation. The host Mundhir was the best!! He was so helpful and responsive and gave us everything we needed. His staff was amazing as well, the cook and our breakfast meals were always something to look forward to! From groceries and ordering food to even providing shisha and a trusted driver James! The accomodation was very comfortable and spacious and the pool was great. The only to keep in mind is that the area is secluded from the city but great for a relaxing staycation. Thank you so much to Mundhir and the team, wonderful experience and 10/10 would highly recommend!

Place is amazing, very peaceful and private with incredible view. Host is very responsive and helpful. Caretaker is a wonderful person who was more than happy to assist in every way with great local knowledge and advice, can arrange any activities etc. Will certainly recommend and hope to visit again.

We stayed for a few days. Excellent place directly on the beach. Really enjoyed our stay. Hope to be back soon.

Beautiful home in a beautiful area! Staff was all very friendly and easy to communicate with. Very much appreciated the security guard on the beach in front of the house to make our experience more peaceful as well!

Zoe was an amazing host and really helpful with providing recommendations on where to eat and what to see on the island. Zoe was also very quick with her responses which made our stay at Zanzibar stress free. The property was spacious, with the showers having good water pressure and the beds being covered in mosquito nets. We had rented a car and we were able to park the car safely inside the gate. Overall we would definitely recommend Zoe as a host and her property as a great place to stay!

For 2 days we felt like in a dream :)) The huge and very well kept garden around Villa Makuti is amazing. We loved the many different spots to sit or lay down and enjoy the beautiful views... To order a private cook was very comfortable and Omar was a very nice and good driver. Thanx for this wonderful experience!!!

Perfect spot for a group! The villa is beautiful, clean, and has great common areas to relax together. The host was super responsive and friendly, and the staff provided top-notch service. We especially loved the delicious included breakfast. Clean rooms, clean pool — everything was just right. Highly recommend!

Fantastic location on the ocean, with fabulous views from all terraces and especially from the upper outside deck. Great open plan living space with views and spacious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms . The staff were incredibly welcoming, kind and discreet, always there to greet and assist. The property and gardens are really well designed and have a great flow. Superb walks to the reefs at low tide. The remote location provides great privacy and relaxation, highly recommended. We will be back!

This place is AMAZING! The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a long or short stay. It was actually the only place I found with good wifi in Zanzibar as I work remotely. It is literally 5 min to the beach! The host was also super responsive, gave me a lot of tips and even helped me find a great piece of art. I was also welcomed with a mix of fruits which was a great touch. Stop your search and book this place now!

This villa was amazing although my only complaint was the comfort of the beds mattress was a bit stiff and uncomfortable. Staff was really nice! Celebrated my birthday and they did an amazing job decorating! Thanks again!

I've been staying here with some friends and we enjoyed every second there. The outdoor area was super comfy to chill and talk. When we arrived, Moudy waited for us and asked if we would like a small tour in the neighborhood. We accepted so he showed us a fast way to get to the beach, some restaurants and shops. He also organized our transports. Thank you Moudy - we will be back when the pool is here ;)

This villa is a real gem! Perched facing the sea, it offers a breathtaking view - impossible to get tired of, we were literally hypnotized by the landscape. The pool with direct ocean view is a real treat, and access to a quiet and peaceful beach makes the place even more magical. A true haven of peace! Our room, facing the sea, was just splendid — waking up with a view, moments of serenity, perfect. A huge thank you to David, always super welcoming, available and responsive (you know we won't forget your help, really🙏). Special mention also to the chef: the dishes were delicious, and it's a real plus when you just want to enjoy the villa to the fullest without having to move. Great value for money! loved this Airbnb, great location. shops around the corner and a great restaurant called rafikis chickies (who also deliver) beach is a 7-10 minute walk. the pool is super small, but fine for a quick dip to cool down. would be nice if main bedroom had AC as it gets hot, but the fan worked fine. the house is open and there was mosquitoes after 5pm so unless there was wind you can really sit outside and find yourself retreating to the bedroom for an early night. all in all. great place. we would stay again 👌
