Welcome to the holiday apartment top two floors of the house. Own entrance from side of the house. There is a ground floor apartment (mine) and a two floor apartment above (for rent). House is on the water, with many trees, and windows. Big kitchen. Not good if you do not like open staircases. The main bedroom has an attic with extra bed . Close to a supermarket, and the bus to Schiphol (Amsterdam). You may see our dogs outside, and sometimes hear them, when they talk to eachtother.

Energy-neutral cozy vacation home

Wooden cottage, self-built in 2020. Mostly with recycled material. There are no less than 20 solar panels on the cottage! The beams and the ridge have remained nicely in sight, which gives a spatial effect. A stable window from the farm where Karin was born has been incorporated into the ridge. The old yellow clinkers from that farm form the terrace, along with the tiles from the basement. As a surprise, husband made a heart in the terrace for Karin! All in all a nice place to stay

Hidden behind the river 'Spaarne' on the quiet Zuid Schalkwijkerweg with its own driveway, entrance and fully equipped, inclusive fast internet and Netflix. Ideal for a holiday breakaway. Here you'll have the luxury of a private cottage with a small patio to sit and the tranquility of a village. All complied to the COVID-19 safety and hygiene practices.

In the middle of the bulb region, close to the train station, you can stay in our cozy basement with private access and parking. You can relax here! There are drinks in the fridge and a bottle of wine ready for you. There are many possibilities for cycling or hiking among the deer. The cities of Haarlem (10 min.), Leiden (12 min.) and Amsterdam (31 min.) are easily accessible by train. On request, I will be happy to prepare breakfast for you. (€30 for 2 people)

Countryside overnight stay

Slow down in this unique, soothing accommodation in a rural setting. Guest house for rent with only an outdoor shower. So no indoor shower available. We rent out this space because we do not use it and like to get in touch with new people. Beautiful area for cycling. Haarlem, Zandvoort and the bulb region are very close. Only 10 kilometers to Schiphol. Free parking on the premises. No smoking indoors and charging electric cars.

The Ooievaarsnest is equipped with every comfort. Surrounded by meadow, water, sprawling bulb fields and a beautiful nature reserve right outside the door. Private parking spaces and possibility of charging point for your bicycle.
