This charming wee granite cottage is snuggled into the idyllic countryside in the shadow of the local landmark, Bennachie, a large hill range which dominates the landscape.

2 1/2 is situated in the quiet village of Aboyne, the gateway to the Cairngorms National Park. This self-contained house is bright and welcoming, has an open plan living area, log burning fire, garden space and free Wifi. Hill walk, wild-swim or mountain bike straight from the door. We offer a bike wash station and secure lock up for your bikes. Play golf or visit our local distilleries. Discover Royal Deeside's rich history. What ever you plan for your break, come back and relax at 2 1/2.

Comfortable, dog-friendly steading conversion

Coshelly Steading is on the edge of Rothienorman, a village with a pub, a Chinese, an excellent Morrisons Daily shop and a Zero Waste shop, all about 10 minutes walk from the house. It is a newly converted steading, attached to our house and surrounded by fields. Plenty of parking, WiFi, TV etc. Dogs are welcome. There are mountains, the coast and many castles, all within easy driving distance and plenty of pleasant walks nearby. Free range eggs from our chickens, when they are in the mood.

The Cart Shed - unique open plan living

The Cart Shed, as the name suggests, is a newly converted, old stone steading. Enjoy the beautiful, ever-changing views from your coastal town hideaway over Banff harbour and bay and across to Macduff. Chill out on the windowseat and just watch the waves roll in. Fresh milk, bread and a few treats await in the welcome pack. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is lots of hot water for a relaxing bath or shower. The Farm Bothy cottage offers luxury accommodation on a working sheep farm. It is self-contained, within a modern steading/barn conversion. We live in the other wing of the house. You can explore the farm, woodlands and our garden. Ideally located for visiting nearby castles and distilleries the area also has great cycling, golfing, fishing and horse-riding. Our local pub is a mile away. The nearest town, Alford, has a pub, restaurant, shops, supermarket, parks and museums.
