Salt, pepper, serviettes, hand towels provided. Separate bathroom with shower and toilet. Outside seating area to enjoy the semi-rural setting. Off street parking with designated parking area. Large enough for car and trailer. Lock up for bicycles on request. Extra towels for lake or local hot pools swimming are available.

Fantastic views, unique ambience, peaceful setting

Wifi available. Enjoy our newly renovated one bedroom apartment overlooking the lake, town & Mount Tauhara. Whether its a romantic weekend for two or a base for your adrenalin packed holiday around the central plateau, you will find our cosy cottage an ideal base. Please note,great views also mean a bit of a climb. We have 33 steps up to our door. If you have mobility needs please check the photos before booking. This apartment block was built in 1976, so does look old and tired on the outside.

This was honestly the best accommodation I’ve ever stayed in – and I’ve travelled to quite a few countries! Kylie and Dan have created such a special place in Kinloch. The indoor-outdoor flow is beautifully done, making you feel connected to the natural surroundings while still completely comfortable. I loved how I had to be present – lighting the fireplace, soaking in the warm outdoor tub – it reminded me of my childhood home. There’s something really grounding and peaceful about that. We actually had plans booked for the evening and the next morning, which we had already paid for – but we ended up cancelling everything because we just wanted to stay in and soak up every moment in this beautiful space. Kylie and Dan were amazing hosts – thoughtful, warm, and accommodating. Their dog and cat came by for a few minutes, and they were just the cutest. We would’ve loved to have them around even more! This place is more than just a stay – it’s an experience. I can’t wait to come back.
