This was our second time at Phils, first time to celebrate my 70th second time for my husbands 75th. When I asked my family where they wanted to celebrate my husbands 75th birthday it was Phils place. Its perfect for our multi-generational family, amples of space and the pool and hot tub are the icing on the cake. We all had the best time and we made lots of memories. Thank you Phil for the use of your lovely home.

Wow! This place was above expectations, absolutely beautiful cottage and facilities. The cottage itself is so spacious and finished to a very high standard, spotlessly clean. The grounds and facilities on offer are superb. The location is stunning and perfect base for exploring the surrounding areas, so many places to visit. We’re already planning our next stay, thank you for a perfect stay!

Cath and Phil really couldn't be more amazing hosts! Thankyou so so much for letting us use your amazing home for my mums hen party!! The house was immaculate, super spacious, set up for a full party and was just honestly incredible. More than I ever imagined!! We made great use of the huge kitchen, dining room, pool room, garden area, living room and much more. I couldn't recommend this house enough for a hen do! Anything you need cath and Phil will be there to help you. Absolutely perfect. Thankyou again cath and Phil, the memories we will cherish forever xxxxx

Lovely stay over the New Year period. Great location with just a short walk into Pocklingto where there are lots of places to eat and drink. Would recommend.

6 adults, 3 children, a baby and dogs stayed at The Byre for 4 nights over New Year and we all had an amazing time! The accommodation was lovely and the private heated pool was a huge hit with the kids!! Sue was really helpful and responsive from the point of booking and throughout the stay. We will definitely be back!

Myself, 9 others and 1 small dog booked on of Sue's fantastic cottages for a reunion weekend. Sue was very easy to communicate with, gave us the guidebook ahead of time virtually for any queries (we were very interested in the pizza oven and games room) Facilties were excellent, we were lucky that no other cottages on the site (only 3 others) were in use during our stay, so had free roam of the site and facilties. The local recommendations were brilliant. We went to the old black bull down the road for dinner on the first night and then again for roast dinner on Sunday - mega The house itself is just as shown in the photos, more than comfortable to sleep and house 10 of us for the weekend. Special mention to the hottub, (which is private for your house and I believe comes with all houses) and to Paul who was more than helpful coming to our rescue and reviving out pizza night when we experienced some issues with the oven. 10/10 would go again.

The house was perfect for my 50th celebration with family ( 6 adults, 6 kids and one dog), the garden lovely, the hot tub was used many times by all and the pool was great. Huge living room to fit us all in while still feeling spacious. Great communication with our fabulous hosts, house has everything, would highly recommend and would come again.

Beautiful home within easy walk of the train station and the city centre. Beds were comfortable and the entire house was spotlessly clean.

Helen was an excellent host. The location was perfect, just a 10 minute walk to the centre of Harrogate. The house was spotless and very well equipped. 100% will stay again.

The host was really helpful, communication was responded to quickly and she initiated contact to check all was well. The property is exactly as described, clean, it has everything you'd need, on a quiet residential cul-de-sac with no through road. A 15 minute walk to the centre of York. The decoration is calming and I felt at home, the welcome pack included bread, milk, jam, tea, coffee, sugar and condiments. I would recommend this property and I will be staying again.

Really fantastic stay. House was spotlessly clean, exactly as described in the listing. Fabulous location in walking distance to everything we wanted to see in York. James was a great host, responded quickly to messages and offered early check in and late check out as he wasn’t booked either side of our booking. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at the Cow Shed. When we arrived, we thought it looked better than the photos! Christina was welcoming and really helpful. We really appreciated having a travel cot and highchair waiting for us! Our little boy loved seeing the goats and chickens in the gardens and there was plenty of toys for him to play with, he was delighted. The location was also really easy to get to and perfect for our family visit in Wetherby. We hope to come back again soon, thank you 😊

Lovely accommodation, very responsive and helpful hosts. The weather was so lovely and there was a lovely sheltered seating area outside, this was so pleasant we actually cancelled our restaurant reservation and ate at the house! Short walk into York, great location.

The house was lovely and as described. Great location for not only the York Race Course but also the City Centre! Amy was great at communicating and helped to provide a parking permit and a solution for where to park a second car

This was an amazing house in the heart of medieval York. Not only that, but the house itself is 700+ years old and you can feel it's character through the amazing renovation that has been done! The Minster is visible from the windows of the property, so you know that the views are just breathtaking. There are plenty of amazing shops, cafes, restaurants, and other businesses in walking distance, while the world-famous Shambles street and market is 5 minutes away. Can't recommend this more.

Stunning property inside and lovely court yard to sit out. The property was one of the cleanest self catering accommodations I’ve ever stayed in, immaculate throughout. Gemma was responsive when needed, and accepted my apologies when informed that I had accidentally broken a wine glasses 😳. Checking in & out couldn’t have been more simple. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Gemma for our lovely stay, in one of the most beautiful places in England.

It’s a very cosy and lovely house. Backyard is very beautiful and well maintained house. Kitchen is very complete and amenities are as listed. There are some board games and chess provided… It really feels like staying at a own house… The Close to Morrison but might need a bit of drive to the city.

Beautiful, well presented house on the outskirts of York. A little too far to walk to the centre with a young family but only a short drive away. On street parking is available but can get busy. The hot tub was fantastic and a real hit with our five year old! House is very clean and modern. Thanks for the stay guys!

I stay here every now and then when I am travelling for work and I love my stay every time. Clean and tidy, and always milk and a soft drink left in the fridge. Parking facilities too! Highly recommend

Had a wonderful three night stay. House was absolutely perfect for our family trip with our daughter absolutely loving the very large top floor bedroom in particular. House is in an excellent location - close to station and local shops and restaurants with an easy stroll into the centre of York. All of the furnishings were comfortable and stylish and the cleaning was A1. Modern kitchen and bathroom had everything including bath and shower. Outside laundry with retractable washing line added bonus as this was part of a longer tour. Strongly recommend!

Booked it for my mum and dad for a weekend away, they both said how lovely the place was and was so clean and comfortable. Both were extremely happy with it and would are planning to go back soon in the coming months. Definitely recommend, Steve and Sarah were really fast at replying, any issues they would reply straight away and sort anything out. They even left a bottle of bubbly for the celebration! 10/10
