Barn accommodation in Africa

I cannot say enough good things about the space. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make meals. The bed and lounging areas were very comfortable. The outdoor areas were beaylutiful and we'll maintained. The owner checked in with us often to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. We would love to return and would definitely recommend.

We stayed in this beautiful home which was full of soul and character with top quality furnishings and comfortable beds and bed linen. The swimming pool and garden were equally beautiful and the scent of jasmine from the tree in the courtyard was enchanting.

Hanlie’s farm house was a wonderful find! We felt right at home. We loved the isolation and the silence of the dead end valley at the foot of the towering Towerkop mountains. The house is well kitted, the beds were great, and stoep and braai was the highlight. We’d love to return.

We had a lovely stay at Penny's place with our 1 year old baby. The place was very clean, and the Noordhoek area is lovely. Penny was very helpful. For instance, the TV screen was not working but Penny immediately offered a solution providing a new screen, which was much appreciated. With a baby, the only thing missing in the kitchen was a blender :) but we bought one at the mall nearby. Baby bed and high chair were provided by Penny. We recommend Penny's place to all families traveling in Cape Town !

We had a beautiful and relaxing time in a tranquil and peaceful setting. Di and her staff provided a homely welcome and we enjoyed a pre-loaded indoor fire, as well as an outdoor fire pit. The setting provided great exploring and easy walking, the chickens and bunnies also added to our son's excitement and entertainment; the toys and books were also great. Although hot water was initially faulty, Di and her team responded effectively to remedy the problem. The home baked muffins in the morning and rusks in the kitchen were delicious, and the French-press coffee an added treat. Definitely a venue well worth re-visiting.

Ankommen, durchatmen, loslassen. Ou Waenhuis ist ein zauberhaftes Cottage, absolut ruhig und wunderschön gelegen in der weiten Landschaft der Kleinen Karoo. Gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit vielen liebevollen Details. Nach einem langen Morgenspaziergang über das großzügige Gelände der Farm, oder entlang dem wundersamen Land-Art Pfad am Bach, lädt die schattige Stoop zum Verweilen ein. Hier entspannt der Geist, umgeben von der Schönheit der Landschaft und Heleens kreativem Ausdruck. Heleen und Karel sind die warmherzigsten Gastgeber, die einen aufs herzlichste willkommen heißen. Dies war unser zweiter Aufenthalt auf der Aswater Farm und wir werden wiederkommen.

The suite was spacious, homely and had the most beautiful outside views. The host replied timeously and made sure that the stay was comfortable for us. The staff was also very friendly. Kelvin was so friendly and respectful. He made fire for us everyday effortlessly.

Wir hatten wundervolle Tage auf der Farm. Das Haus ist einfach sehr schön eingerichtet und der Garten lädt zum verweilen ein. Hier kann man tagsüber entspannen in den Pool gehen und abends an der Feuerstelle sitzen. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Pferde. Von der Unterkunft kann man viele Unternehmungen in der Umgebung machen. Leider haben wir Angela nicht persönlich kennen gelernt aber wir waren stets über Messenger in Kontakt. Sie war sehr hilfsbereit und half uns bei allen Anliegen so zum Beispiel eine perfekte Babyausstattung im Haus. Vielen Dank für alles. Wir wären gern noch länger geblieben aber unsere Reise geht nun weiter.

This is my favourite place in the Western Cape….restorative with such a unique sense of design and decor. The ultimate luxury for couples- a rare treat.

We had such a lovely time in Riebeek Kasteel. The cottage was perfect for our family, very well equipped - the garden was also a highlight with beautiful views. Thank you!

Had a fantastic stay at this B&B. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, the room was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, and the atmosphere was peaceful. Would highly recommend!

The garden cottage is on a beautiful farm, views and scenery was breathtaking! the cottage is private and lovely. Th firewood hot tub was easy to use and felt like heaven, I did not want to get out. we had an amazing stay, and will definitely be returning. thanks so much to the friendly and helpful host, Vanessa. 🫶 :)

Had a wonderful stay. Accommodation was very nice and was a good place for a large group including kids. Would definitely recommend and would go back again.

We absolutely LOVED our two night stay at the Twin Towers, what a unique experience! The kids loved it, and we all managed to survive the challenging hike to the cave overhang - it was definitely worth it, though. Being surrounded by the horses, Alpacas, cows and sheep was so special and the mountain view, nothing short of spectacular. Highly recommended.

we enjoyed our stay at this place - especially the hammock in the garden. We also appreciated the milk as welcome present :-)

We loved our stay at The Cairn! It is super-spacious, creatively decorated and set in lovely surroundings. And it has loads crockery and cutlery! Carl was wonderful.

Daans guesthouse is absolutely stunning. Exceeded our expectations. He welcomed us and made us feel right at home. The grounds and rooms and cottages are beautiful, neat and tidy. It’s a pity we spent just one night. We would love to come back and spend a few days. We highly recommend Daans guesthouse :)
