Guy & Tanya’s cottage was the perfect landing place for my first visit to South Africa as a Black & trans American writer. The quiet, sunlit mornings with birdsong helped me focus on reading & writing. The steep hill & stairs around the cottage got me back into lifestyle physical activity, which I appreciated. Everyone I interacted with, from the vigilant staff at the entrance gate to the warm neighbor & proficient housekeeper, added to the sense of comfort & safety. When I had an issue with the space heater, the hosts were responsive, & the heating blankets on the bed were clutch. One night I was startled by several barking dogs while walking back to the cottage & Guy quickly intervened, but most days I just saw their chill dog, Django. The hosts were generous throughout my stay, letting me use laundry detergent & even offering a ride to a local café after checkout. The location is also near lots of art & culture events. It was sucha grounding place, would absolutely book again!

Will definitely visit again! This cottage is the perfect coastal escape, surrounded by breathing taking flora and landscapes. The ocean view is spectacular! We felt right at home here and out hosts were just wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay (2.5 weeks) in the Loft and can highly recommend it! Close to beaches and kitespots, surrounded by lush nature, peaceful, clean, well equipped, beautifully furnished and with great hosts! Away from the buzz of Tarifa, but still only a 10minutes drive. Thanks Daniela & Marc, also for the fantastic kite and region insights!

Everything was perfect, great location at the end of the road on top of the mountain. Beautiful garden, lovely swimming pool, good bed. Every day a good morning from the dogs that just belong. Diego is available if needed and responds quickly to messages. Another tip: come the first time when it is still light. Diego's instructions are clear, you just have to see it. My rental car didn't like the mountain, but the message is to keep on giving gas. Stock up on provisions because once you are on the mountain, you won't want to leave😉.

We had a great stay at Ioannis’s place. Spacious, clean and well located. Sissy welcomed us and gave us some good recommendations. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!

Had an amazing experience staying in this house! There was everything I needed. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend to stay at this lovely place!

Adil’s place was a lovely accommodation which was very walkable to everything but also tucked away in quieter pocket which was nice! Adil was super communicative and friendly. He met us when we arrived and was happy to help with recommendations and whatever else we needed while we were there. I would highly recommend staying here!

Ali was the most amazing host I have ever had in all my years of using Airbnb. He was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and made my entire group of 6 feel right at home. From helping us get to his Airbnb from the airport with short notice to traveling around the beautiful city of Luxor with ease during our stay! Being in a country so far away from home is pretty nerve wracking but words can’t describe how safe we felt with Ali! Thank you to our new friend Ali! You were amazing and I hope we see each other soon :) Thank you to his wonderful friends Husan and Muhammad as well! Your taxi service saved us !! Such amazing people!

We had a night and it was dreamy! Amazing view, was comfortable, pleasant and clean. Highly recommended and we will definitely come again 😊

We were in Madeira for the first time and lived in Ana's beautiful apartment for 9 days. Ana is a very friendly, helpful and warm hostess, she lives in the same house above the apartment. Her niece Beatriz - with whom communication was by phone - was always available and very helpful if something should be. The apartment is wonderfully located with panoramic views, which is wonderful. Everything was available, super equipped, everything very clean, the outdoor area very nice. We felt very comfortable and thank Ana and Beatriz again for their hospitality.

We stayed 10 days at Cynthia and Carlos's place. The two and their children are just wonderful people. Carlos was very helpful and helped us a lot, among other things, when we were robbed on the first day in Puerto de la Cruz. The house is situated in the mountains with fantastic views. Getting there is a bit adventurous the first time, but spectacular. The wooden house is as described and our children were very happy every morning to visit the chickens on the terrace as well as the fresh eggs. We can only recommend the house.

The Loft Room – A Stunning Gem! What an absolutely stunning and well-equipped self-catering Airbnb! My partner and I absolutely adored our stay. Trish and John were the perfect hosts – warm, welcoming, and attentive without ever being intrusive. The property itself is breathtaking, and we were lucky enough to spot some wildlife during our visit, which made the experience even more special. The Loft was cozy, homey, and wonderfully quiet – the perfect place to relax, reset, and unwind. Everything was spotlessly clean and clearly very well maintained. In our opinion, it’s one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in so far in South Africa. We’re already planning our return trip – highly recommended!

We had a lovely time at Uwe and Birgit's place. The hosts were friendly. The house was very nice, stylishly decorated and fitted with everything you need. The area is lovely. We particularly loved the private garden, it was great to spend time outside and having breakfast on the terrace. Our only regret is that we haven't booked a longer stay and would love to come back sometime.

We had a lovely weekend at Omer and Einat’s place with our two kids. We came during a sensitive time when having access to a shelter was important, and they generously shared their safe room with us and made us feel completely at home. They were incredibly kind and welcoming. The house was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed as a family. The kibbutz is charming and great for walking around with children. Would definitely love to come back again!

This is the second time we have stayed in Amar's apartment. And that means a lot. Great location! The apartment is as stunning as in the pictures, clean, tidy. Think about every detail. Last time we were a couple +2, this time we came back a couple +3. It was cozy and spacious. And we didn't miss anything. Great fun and sure we'll be back :)

Pauline was the most wonderful host, she made us feel extremely welcome and at home. Beautiful little home with everything you could need and what a treat to get fresh eggs, bread and fruit for our entire stay! Not to mention bottled water, coffee, milk, butter. We were very spoilt. Home is nestled in and amongst the trees so very peaceful and relaxing. Quick 5 mins walk through the front property onto the beach and walking distance from shops and restaurants. I even joined the water aerobics class in the pool one morning. We loved it, thank you so much Pauline!
