Ángel welcomed us with great respect. We enjoyed it very much. The house is nice with its beautiful flower garden and swimming pool ( a little cold during this time). It is also very well equipped. The river that passes nearby is pretty but swimming is prohibited there (the water flow can rise quickly because of the dam) although practiced by the locals. A place to rest and start hiking.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough! This is by far the most well-built and thoughtfully designed accommodation I have stayed in throughout Central America. Every detail speaks to quality—from the solid construction to the immaculate furniture and linens, which feel like new. Nelly is a truly exceptional host—warm, kind, and always willing to help. She not only ensures a comfortable stay but also goes above and beyond, offering assistance in connecting with local resources and even sharing avocados from her farm. The setting is breathtaking, with a pristine mountain stream flowing just behind the cottage. It’s the perfect place to unwind, surrounded by nature’s beauty. The small general stores for basic necessities are just a short walk away, making it convenient yet still wonderfully secluded. The wifi is strong and stable for remote workers. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat to restore yourself or a quiet, inspiring place to work, this is absolute paradise.

If you're looking for peace & quiet with a stellar view - look no further! The bed was comfy, the blankets were cozy, & it had everything needed for a relaxing getaway. Directions to find the place we're spot on. There's a small amount of gravel road that I needed to navigate but it was in good shape (4x4 wasn't necessary). If you're expecting hot & humid, this isn't your place. It's cool in the mornings & evenings but nothing a sweater can't handle. There's a super cozy fireplace that really allows you to settle in for some Netflix at the end of a busy day of tours or hiking. Very private - I only saw cars in the road but heard nothing but birds & nature. This place is exactly as described & so lovely. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! Ricardo was a superb host - kind, generous, & hospitable. He made sure I had everything I needed. There's some great restaurants nearby & every morning Turrialba Volcano greets you in the distance.

It was a beautiful home to stay at for the weekend with my family. They were very responsive over message, and they were kind and accommodating during our stay.
