In the city center there are several restaurants, grocery stores, clothing and sports shops and nightlife. Approx. 4 km to Hemsedal ski center. Free ski bus from city center to Hemsedal ski center. Age limit booking; 25 years.

Nestled in beautiful nature, it's perfect for year-round outdoor activities – hiking, cycling, and fishing in summer, or skiing and snowkiting in winter. You can book the entire cabin – ideal for families or groups. Or choose a private room ( 3 and 4), with access to shared spaces: a fully equipped kitchen, a comfy living room, and a bathroom. Please make sure to read the directions carefully after booking!

Ski Lodge Tuv - Hemsedal (ski and hiking)

Cabin close to ski Center and hiking. 7 min drive to ski center. Ski- in through the Gummiskogen. The Hallingstue was built around 1750. It has modern Facilities. Bedrom with double bed, and a large bed in Living Room. Outdoor seating area. The cabin is one of two cabins at a Seter tun (see pictures). Access to hot tub NOK 2000. . You will have to clean the cabin after use and bring own bed linen and towels. I can provide bed linen for 175 per person. Can provide cleaning for extra charge.

Relax with the whole family in this peaceful accommodation. On the terrace you can enjoy the sun and the beautiful views of the surrounding mountain areas from morning to late evening. Not far from the cabin is Skogshorn, the most famous mountain in Hemsedal. There are also kilometers of cycling and hiking trails right in front of the door. The Hemsedal ski resort is located in the winter and has been named the best ski resort in Norway for years. Cross-country skiing is 300 meters away.

Hemsedal - cozy Hallingstugu by the river Hemsila

Hallingstugu from the late 1800s is rented to families and good adult guests. Stugu has a fireplace, dining area, lounge, cozy loft reading space, satellite TV and Wifi. Well equipped kitchen with stove, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Bathroom with WC, shower and sauna. Bedroom 1: Double bed and loft sleeps 2. Bedroom 2: Family Bunk Heating in All Floors. Porch with outdoor furniture. We rent out linens and towels, and sell fireplace wood. (60 l. sack)

Log cabin - rebuilt by Thor Heyerdahl Sr., 200 YO

Thor Heyerdahl sr. re-built this cabin when the Bergensbanen was finished at Ustaoset. Some furniture came from their house at Larvik. The timber haul ensured that still today it is a very simple 800 m walk from the train station by the lake. Hardangervidda and Hallingskarvet National parks can be reached by foot or bike. Several downhill and mountain bikes are in the shed. Elevation 1011 meter. During 2018 I have redone most rooms, 2020 outside.
