Great place to get together with friends in a gorgeous getaway cabin. The views and scenery around Crimora is fantastic and the house was exactly as described.

The house was perfect for 2 people and we enjoyed our stay. We appreciated the additional firewood as that came in handy especially the 2nd night when we treated ourselves to smores. We enjoyed the hot tub the most and used it both nights as it was exactly what we needed after our waterfall trail hike in the park. The coffee bar was also nice especially with the coffee provided. We definitely want to come back and thank you for a perfect weekend.

What a gem! This is our favorite home away from home to date. Shana's place was immaculate, beautifully decorated and we felt right at home. A beautiful log cabin nestled in the trees with all the modern amenities. The beds were super comfortable with top of the line linens which felt super comfy. The kitchen was stocked with all the appliances and cookware you could imagine and even coffee grounds so we could brew a fresh pot of coffee each morning. We played a few rounds of basketball and Ms Pac-Man in the basement just because we could and it's fun! Bonus is the vineyard a half mile up the street and walkable which was super fun on a beautiful weekend. The home was a 25 minute drive to Charlottesville restaurants which was really convenient. We had an amazing stay and hope to book again in the future. I wish all homes felt as inviting as Shana's.

Great home in a very private and peaceful setting for a small family. It seemed very new and loved the wood. The beds were very comfortable. The added outside shower and patio was a bonus. The house had all the necessities to cook and clean up. Host was very informative and attentive. Very pet friendly with a dog bed as well. Loved taking walks in the property to the ponds. Would highly recommend.

I cannot count how many times we’ve stayed at Montfair. Heck, my wife and I got married there in July of 23! This is our home away from home which is a short ride from Richmond, yet worlds away. Thank you again for hosting us. We had an excellent end to Spring break at Loblolly. Until next time.

This was our second time back and we’re already planning our next visit! Absolutely beautiful property and cozy and adorable cabin. Close by to Montpelier and lots of walking trails. We had lunch and a hike at the market at Grelen (10 min away) and saw a show at four county players (8 min away). We loved walking around the town of Orange and Gordonsville too. Charming towns with very cute shops and restaurants. Beautiful mountain scenery all around! Absolutely perfect:)

My husband, our Corgi Boy & I loved the Grainshed. Tom & his wife greeted us for our evening arrival and offered all kinds of advice for hiking, dining and driving. Humphrey met one of their dogs called Gracie and loved hanging out with the cows and chickens. The Grainshed looked much more bright and cozy in real life than on the pictures. We didn’t cook, but used the kitchenette area for storing food and prepping water bottles for the day. We had space for a midsize crate as well. The couch and sofa chair were cozy and even if we were right next to the owners house, we felt private. On nice days you can chill behind the house on picknick benches or walk the peaceful property. The nearby town Scotsville (10-15mins) has a great coffee place, a super market and a few restaurants, we enjoyed the Italian one for pizza one night. Yogaville is 20 mins away, Crabtree Falls 1 hour and Appomattox Court House NHS 30 mins. We will return for a peaceful countryside mountain weekend.

The cabin is very beautiful and the views are amazing! It was a great experience and time spent with friends were memories well made. Michael was very responsive and hospitable.

Leora's place is one of about 8 rustic cottages around a small lake adjacent to what appears to be a dairy/cattle farm. (One of the cows found a way through the fencing and wandered peacefully around the cabins 2 of the 3 nights we stayed there! There is a beautiful 2.0 mile loop walking trail around the property, as well as free use of canoes and mountain bikes. It is very beautiful, peaceful, and pet-friendly! There are a number of nice hiking trails within a short drive. We visited in March when it got quite cold at night and in the early morning. There is a good natural gas heater in the main room, and a portable plug-in heater in the bedroom (both worked fine, esp. after I figured out the controls on the latter unit). The cabins are said to have window AC units when needed, but they were not in evidence when we were there, nor were they needed. Leora was very welcoming and responsive & we highly recommend her place!

Beautiful, private house right on the river. There is a walking trail down by the river and a small beach for fishing and swimming. We had dinner in the back deck and enjoyed the sounds of the river. This small retreat was exactly what we needed to reset. We will be back!

We had a wonderful time at the guest cottage. Our hosts were delightful and fun to meet. The location was perfect for us since it was close to family. Very quiet as well. Thank you!

Cook’s Cabin was perfect! A beautiful home with absolutely everything you need to relax near Charlottesville! So refreshing to have a fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms! Even s’mores makings which of course the kids loved! So comfortable and peaceful - and close to all the attractions in the area. Highly recommend! We loved it!

Everything was great!

These adorable cottages offer a tranquil escape in the Virginia countryside. The pool was a perfect oasis, and we loved having it all to ourselves. We were thrilled to find out about the direct booking option. Looking forward to our next visit!

We had a great stay. My family plus my in-laws were in town for my son's college graduation. The place was large enough for all of us and we were very comfortable. The house is gorgeous and the surroundings were absolutely beautiful. The house is very clean and well maintained and has a ton of character. We enjoyed visiting the local wineries and the young kids loved the pool. Sam was always very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this for large groups looking for a quiet get away that is still within driving distance of Charlottesville.
