Family-friendly holiday rentals in Alburgh

The house was perfect for us. We were a group of 8 and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep, plenty of space to move around, park our cars and sit while relaxing throughout the house. Ryan was so helpful and quick to respond if we had any questions. Lovely house, hope I get to return.

We came up for a few nights to elope in the mountains with our two dogs. Meghan was so accommodating. This is our second time at this cabin but plan on making this our go to vacation spot when we come to Lake Placid!

Not sure if it was the mattress, the sheets and quilt, the pillows, the Vermont woods, Vermont fresh air, or the rain hitting the roof… maybe all of it… but, my husband and I have not slept so well in… maybe EVER! Rob’s home is super comfy and dog friendly. The hot tub is a nice feature and works wonderfully. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful location for your visit, this hits all the marks. Sitting outside with your morning coffee is a treat. If weather doesn’t cooperate, recommend sitting in the den in front of the picture window. Our old dog truly appreciated exploring the fenced yard, and we loved allowing him off off-leash. Great place to stay!

Samantha and Chris's place was a perfect spot for a Smugglers Notch getaway! it's a beautiful home, perfect for a family of 4. Even in cold temperatures( at -5F and lower) with lots of snow, the place was cozy warm with the wood burning furnace (clean and devoid of smoke) as well a propane heater downstairs. Literally 2 turns from the slopes of a great family ski mountain! But the views and location of the property were amazing for those wanting to do other things than ski. Samantha was responsive and an excellent communicator. I have to throw in that everything in their kitchen was in excellent condition (every appliance) including sharp functional chef knives (an uncommon phenomenon for a renter) Thank you Samantha and Chris! Sharing your home with us was a touch- stone of great new family memories!

We had a wonderful stay at the Monty's place -- the apartment was well stocked with many thoughtful items, the area is very peaceful and near to outdoor activities, and the hosts were friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Great stay at Jen’s beautiful chalet. Easy to communicate with and well equipped with many kitchen supplies and all the needed towels, linens, hairdryers, and a thoughtful welcome package. Only about 15 mins from the mountain and 10 mins to town. Thanks!

This property was exactly what we were looking for for our low key bachelorette/girls weekend! Judi was fantastic about communicating with us about the best hiking trails, nearby activities, and most delicious local restaurants. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed including a beautiful kitchen with all of the essentials and more. The fire pit and hot tub were the icing on the cake. It was spacious, homey, and incredibly clean. We can’t wait to come back!!

My husband and I needed a relaxing getaway and this spot 100% met the mark. Area was quiet and on a dead and road so we didn’t even hear passing traffic. We frequently travel “off grid” and remote cottages and cabins through out the upper east coast and this was the most private we have come across. The cabin had everything we needed and all of the charm. The property was lovely, with walking paths and our Labrador could not have been happier. Of course the hot tub and sauna took relaxing to the next level. We are both looking forward to coming back!!

Where do I start...from before I arrived, up until my departure...Joanne was attentive in every way possible. All my questions were answered with an immediate response. The home was extraordinary. The effort Joanne has put in to making it just like home shows. With an abundance of whimsical touches. Up until the day I left, I would see a new thing. As if the enchanting home wasn't enough, the back patio is a place of serenity...with the sounds and view of the river extraordinary. I could go on and on, but I will just say, "it was the best vacation I have ever had". One word describes this Airbnb...AMAZING!!!🩷. I will return next year! We loved how she had breakfast items stocked for us! The beds were so comfy and the tiny house was so cute! Enjoyed our stay!

PK was very friendly and inviting and extremely helpful and responsive. It was beautiful and peaceful and a perfect getaway to immerse ourselves in nature.

We absolutely adored our stay at the cabin. It is idyllic inside and out! It was amazing to come home to after a day of exploring. The bed was super comfortable and the highlight for us was watching VHS on the TV with snacks. It is so well equipped and cosy, also enjoyed a lovely bath in the claw foot tub. Just perfect for a rustic, cosy stay in nature. A highlight for me was stepping outside at night and listening to (I assume they were) frogs!! They were so loud and it was incredible to hear them, the trees were also surrounded by fireflies (I’d never seen them before!) and I’ll always remember that perfect moment of peace. Thank you for making our 10 year anniversary so memorable with such a lovely place to stay, if you’re thinking of it for a special occasion or just as a base to explore this adorable region of Vermont, look no further :) thank you!

We loved our visit at the Peace Ridge Cabin! The cabin was cozy and peaceful, surrounding nice hiking trails and views of the mountains near by. The house offered amenities that made our stay exactly what we were looking for. Just a short drive to some nice restaurants and Lake Placid center made it convenient. We enjoyed getting to bring our dog who loved exploring the grounds! Jerry was polite and informative. He was even flexible when we needed to check in early! We enjoyed our stay and would love to return again!

Great stay and cabin. The host was very friendly and helpful. The place was even better than the pictures. Views were unreal and very peaceful !! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Just 1mil away you can find local stores, gas station, etc… We would definitely come back again!

Sara and her mom are very easy-going hosts. I traveled with a friend and two dogs, and we all felt very welcomed. There's a small fenced in area on the roadside of the house, and tons of open farmland in the back -- both were great for letting the dogs out. Sara's parents are very quiet neighbors, but it was also nice to know they were nearby if anything came up. A 26-mile rail trail starts out of Richford, which is a five minute drive from the house.

Another great stay! Hauss are wonderful and always communicating well. The cabin is clean, cozy, everything we need. The area is quiet and serene. We will definitely do over!

We could not have asked for a better place for our eclipse adventure. The two bedroom cabin was spotlessly clean, well-appointed, cute and plenty of space for the 4 of us. We loved being out in the woods and enjoyed our walks around the pond enormously. Easy to get to restaurants and other activities, but away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. Not a thing to complain about, and would definitely recommend to anyone!

We really enjoyed this place! The property is beautiful. The pool looked really clean and well cared for (but we didn't have a chance to use it). The supplied linens and especially the bath towels were great. This certainly will be on our list the next time are in VT.

Absolutely wonderful stay! As a family of five, we couldn't have asked for a better place. The unit was incredibly spacious, comfortable, and had such a warm, homey feel—it truly felt like a home away from home. The mountain view from the living room window was beautiful, a perfect backdrop for our mornings and evenings. Jeff, the host was exceptional—extremely responsive, thoughtful, and helpful throughout our stay. Every question or request was handled quickly and kindly, which made our experience stress-free and enjoyable. We had some wifi issues which took time to resolve but Jeff helped and made sure it is taken care of. The apartment was impressively well-equipped with everything we needed, clearly a lot of care went into preparing the space for guests. The location was perfect for us— surrounded by beautiful trails that we explored as a family. If you are into skiing, the ski tracks are short drive away. It was the ideal base for both adventure and relaxation. Highly recommended

weekend family trip for 6 of us and our dog(4 adults and 2 kids), plenty of space for everyone, and much larger than I expected! we enjoyed cooking in the well stocked kitchen, playing board games on the large dining room table, swimming in the pool and soaking in the hot tub, wrapping the nights up with a movie on their Roku TV! Kristin was very responsive in her communication, we had a lovely time and would love to plan future trips here again!

Linda was a fantastic host, and her home was even better than listed. The cabin was a good size for our family of four + dog; the 2 bed / 2 bath arrangement allowed for good privacy when needed. The fireplace was great for apres and winding down at night. Location is a nice mix of seclusion (off the Mountain Rd), but close to everything.

Beautiful home and a beautiful area. Excellent reading materials. Great TV and great selection to watch. Very considerate Host.

Had an absolutely incredible stay at this spacious and beautifully maintained farmhouse. The farm-produced eggs from their chickens on the property, and sheep's yogurt that were provided were such a nice touch too! The views couldn't be beat, and there was even a baby lamb born while we were there, which the kids absolutely loved to see (as did the adults)! My 3-year old niece and nephew loved the house and help saying how 'beautiful' everything was, and that they were having 'the best time' and they loved the pool and the animals and exploring the house/property. Was very serene and peaceful. Highly recommend this spot as the perfect place to go off the grid for a week or weekend. The hosts were very helpful and as hands off or on as you wanted them to be. Do be aware that it's very buggy, you'll need to clean spiders and beetles out of the pool each day, and that there will be farm workers on the property throughout the day, but they did not bother us and they keep to themselves.
