Three schist houses being restored at the village of Cunqueiros, in the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, form the Casas da Encosta project. Here it’s possible to relive the life history and culture of the region’s people in the comfort of a typical Portuguese village. Our house is spacious and bright. We have created an open and comfortable space where you can enjoy the tranquility and nature that surrounds us. It is an old rehabilitated Alentejo mountain, it is isolated, in a landscape of meadow, and olive trees. The village, Barbacena, is about 3 km away. To get to the house there is a road of about 400m of land through which any vehicle can travel, although slowly.
