Monthly Rentals in Alcona Township

It had been 30 years since I've been to Hubbard lake. And the area is the same Beautiful wonderful place. I check out most of the Restaurants. And they were all great to. Unfortunately I found out that the Stone Bar, Smokies and Cedar Grove all had caught on fire and had to be rebuilt. There was a lot of history in those original establishments. I felt right at home in the cottage. It was very clean and had everything you needed, plus. Also being on the northwest side of lake is great. Very good location. I will be coming back. I love this place. The only thing I dislike is how uncomfortable the beds are. I would recommend bringing a topper so you can save your back from aches and pains after a couple days. Lovely place! better than the pictures!

Margie and Chris were excellent hosts. The communication was great throughout. Clearly, things were thought through to make the guest experience as good as possible; extra pillows, blankets, toilet paper, paper towel, etc. They left pamphlets for the area sights to see, which was very helpful. The weather was hot the first night and cold the last night of my stay and Margie ensured that I was comfortable both nights - and even offered to bring over an extra heater on the cold night. It was a private, quiet place to spend some time, but there is also a lot to do around the area within reasonable driving distance - Connie’s Cafe, which is only 7 minutes away, is a must visit. There is also Dinosaur Gardens right across the street which was pretty cool. The sinkholes and Presque Isle lighthouses are about a 45 minute drive away but are worth the trip if you like scenic drives, lighthouses, nature and plenty of Lake Huron views. All in all, this was a five star stay. Thanks, Margie!
