Historical Vintage Villa Within a Mountain and Castle

Rediscover mid-century modern aesthetics at this vintage inspired home. The residence features warm woods, contrasting textures and motifs, light hues, a floating staircase, a minimalist interior design approach, and rooftop views from the balcony to the castle and mountains. Located in the old town, nearby the church of Saint John, you will find the area quiet and silent, all you need to spend some relaxing days. Casa do Adro offers all the amenities of a new modern house, but with the retro/vintage touch and comfort. On the ground floor we have a fully vintage style equipped kitchen with dish washer, laundry, living room and service toilet. There is a big table where 8 people can comfortably sit for dinner, and where we daily serve breakfast with Regional fruit, home made jams, juice and locally bread. The living room offers a nice flat TV and sofa. You can go through 100 international channels, or simply rest or read a book, inside or outside on the terrace. The first floor has two rooms, both with double bed. The bathroom is shared between the two rooms and each room offers air conditioning and splendid views over the mountains and the castle of Porto de Mós. Guests will have access to the whole house. I have limited availability, even though I am reachable 24 hours on the phone and email. Whenever I can, and if my guests feel like, I enjoy a good chat and get to know people. Sharing experiences makes part of the Airbnb concept. The Villa do Adro is located in the historical area of Porto de Mós village. Guests can easily walk to places of interest such as Porto de Mós Castle, the town hall square, and the Serra de Aire and Candeeiros Natural Parks with great trails, caves and views. Parking is always available by the house. The walk to the Village takes 5 mins, and from there you can take buses to the main attractions (Nazaré, Leiria, Fátima, Batalha, etc). We will get in touch with the guests to arrange the check in.

We had a great 2 night stay at Dânia’s place. The view is spectacular and the location is great, close to the main square in Sitio and very close to the funicular. Studio kitchen is well equipped. It’s very clean. Dânia was very responsive. Would stay again!

We love our stay! The place was private, with natural and calm fence, excellent for relaxing and resting! The house gave it to two people and we were able to take our two animals. The kitchen was fully equipped, the bathroom super clean and practical, there was a salamander in the living room and the bedroom was spacious. The salamander and the private backyard were the highlight of the stay! Ahah also had a barbecue space that we used a few times, fully equipped. The hosts were also super friendly and gave us a welcome gift, with sweet and homemade wine! We love it! Five stars! We highly recommend and plan to return!

A peaceful, rural location. The comfortable king size bed gave us our best few nights' sleep for months. We'd prearranged for a supply of groceries and paid them on our arrival. With a good stock of food and drink we could stay local and take advantage of exploring Ruth & Graham's vast expanse of fields with fig and olive trees and rambled through their wood down to the river. The facilities inside the barn/cottage are faultless, we had good internet connection and my husband was able to fulfill his work commitments and conduct a video conference. The bathroom/shower was spotless with strong water pressure so that just a gentle turn of the tap gave us perfect showers. Every aspect of what a visitor might need has been well thought through and provided. We took gentle strolls along tracks near the neighbouring tree plantations where the smell of eucalyptus was cleansing. I enjoyed their spring flowers and flocks of birds. I baked a cake and shared it with our hosts. Will rebook soon.

From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the tranquility of this serene retreat with breathtaking mountain views and a beautifully maintained garden. Inside, the cozy, thoughtfully designed space felt like a true home away from home. We also had the "polvo" experience, and it was unforgettable. The fresh, perfectly seasoned octopus was tender, beautifully presented, and a true celebration of local flavors. I highly recommend it—this place is a gem!
