Historical Vintage Villa Within a Mountain and Castle

Rediscover mid-century modern aesthetics at this vintage inspired home. The residence features warm woods, contrasting textures and motifs, light hues, a floating staircase, a minimalist interior design approach, and rooftop views from the balcony to the castle and mountains. Located in the old town, nearby the church of Saint John, you will find the area quiet and silent, all you need to spend some relaxing days. Casa do Adro offers all the amenities of a new modern house, but with the retro/vintage touch and comfort. On the ground floor we have a fully vintage style equipped kitchen with dish washer, laundry, living room and service toilet. There is a big table where 8 people can comfortably sit for dinner, and where we daily serve breakfast with Regional fruit, home made jams, juice and locally bread. The living room offers a nice flat TV and sofa. You can go through 100 international channels, or simply rest or read a book, inside or outside on the terrace. The first floor has two rooms, both with double bed. The bathroom is shared between the two rooms and each room offers air conditioning and splendid views over the mountains and the castle of Porto de Mós. Guests will have access to the whole house. I have limited availability, even though I am reachable 24 hours on the phone and email. Whenever I can, and if my guests feel like, I enjoy a good chat and get to know people. Sharing experiences makes part of the Airbnb concept. The Villa do Adro is located in the historical area of Porto de Mós village. Guests can easily walk to places of interest such as Porto de Mós Castle, the town hall square, and the Serra de Aire and Candeeiros Natural Parks with great trails, caves and views. Parking is always available by the house. The walk to the Village takes 5 mins, and from there you can take buses to the main attractions (Nazaré, Leiria, Fátima, Batalha, etc). We will get in touch with the guests to arrange the check in.

Nós adoramos a nossa estadia! O local era privado, com vedação natural e calmo, excelente para descontrair e descansar! A casa deu para duas pessoas e pudemos levar os nossos dois animais. A cozinha estava totalmente equipada, a casa de banho super limpa e prática, havia uma salamandra na sala e o quarto era espaçoso. A salamandra e o quintal privado foram o ponto alto da estadia! Ahah tinha também um espaço de churrasco que usamos algumas vezes, totalmente equipado. Os anfitriões foram também super simpáticos e deram-nos um brindes de boas-vindas, com doce e vinho caseiro! Adoramos! Cinco estrelas mesmo! Recomendamos vivamente e planeamos voltar!

A peaceful, rural location. The comfortable king size bed gave us our best few nights' sleep for months. We'd prearranged for a supply of groceries and paid them on our arrival. With a good stock of food and drink we could stay local and take advantage of exploring Ruth & Graham's vast expanse of fields with fig and olive trees and rambled through their wood down to the river. The facilities inside the barn/cottage are faultless, we had good internet connection and my husband was able to fulfill his work commitments and conduct a video conference. The bathroom/shower was spotless with strong water pressure so that just a gentle turn of the tap gave us perfect showers. Every aspect of what a visitor might need has been well thought through and provided. We took gentle strolls along tracks near the neighbouring tree plantations where the smell of eucalyptus was cleansing. I enjoyed their spring flowers and flocks of birds. I baked a cake and shared it with our hosts. Will rebook soon.

We were very happy with our stay at Mariana's place. The little house is very comfortable, has everything one needs, super clean and with a very comfy bed. The place is extremely calm. And within 10 minutes you're at a spectacular beach (Vitoria). Another hint: Vale Furado beach (OMG!) and the Nomade pizza bar on the cliffs.

Inside, the cozy, thoughtfully designed space felt like a true home away from home. We also had the "polvo" experience, and it was unforgettable. The fresh, perfectly seasoned octopus was tender, beautifully presented, and a true celebration of local flavors. I highly recommend it—this place is a gem!

Quem nos recebeu foi o Sr. António, o marido da Cidalina. Extremamente simpático e disponível. A casa é numa zona de campo, com terreno à volta, uma pequena garagem onde coube perfeitamente a nossa carrinha. O interior da casa é humilde, mas serve perfeitamente para as necessidades básicas. Deixaram lenha e usámos o recuperador de calor, o que nos ajudou a ter um ambiente ainda mais relaxante. Se voltarmos a Alpedriz, ficaremos certamente neste alojamento. Obrigada Cidalina, Sr. António e à filha Diana.
