5 star cottage with HOT TUB-Highgate

StephanieRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We stayed at this lovely cottage for just one night and had such a wonderful, relaxing time. The place was spotlessly clean, spacious, and had a warm, homely feel from the moment we arrived. The hot tub and garden area were fantastic touches—perfect for unwinding—though sadly the heavy rain meant we couldn’t enjoy them as much as we would’ve liked. That said, the weather didn’t dampen our mood or take away from what was a truly peaceful stay at this little gem. In fact, it was lovely listening to the rain and watching it out of the window with a glass of wine in hand! We’ll definitely be back—hopefully under sunnier skies! Thank you for a lovely experience.

Country cottage with private garden & hot tub

SuzeRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Perfect getaway from us and handy for visiting family. The hot tub was a welcome daily ritual and the garden is very peaceful. Everything needed was provided in the house, would just add that the garden furniture is Ok for eating, but not comfortable for long sitting and reading, luckily we had our folding chairs in the car so not a problem, but worth bearing in mind.

Woodside Cottage: A Cosy Boutique Lakes Getaway!

LaurenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
An amazing cottage to stay in. Extremely peaceful and the surroundings were beautiful. The cottage was in excellent condition and we felt at home. Great beds, we all slept well! The only slight issue was the main shower didn’t have a great temperature control which made it difficult to shower as it was either too hot or too cold. Would definitely stay here again, even in the winter as it was super cosy!

Apple House - an exquisite bohemian retreat

GracieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What an absolute gem we found in Apple House. The pictures really don't do the whole place justice! A cosy, romantic house set in beautiful, serene surroundings. It really was the perfect location for our mini moon! Was lovely to be greeted by the chickens and Russel the dog each morning <3 We were treated to some tasty welcome gifts and the place was spotless, very comfy bed and just the most charming decor. Thank you so much Emma and Craig! We will definitely be returning with more of our family!

Riverside stone cottage, stunning mountain views

SallyRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had a wonderful stay at Lisa’s - four adults, two under one year olds and a dog! The bedrooms have plenty of room for travel cots and were clean, comfortable and cosy. The garden is stunning and sitting in the little garden hut looking over the mountains around was a great way to start the day. The kitchen is well equipped and in great condition. The shower is really good and Lisa provides basic bathroom items incase you forget any essentials which is a lovely touch. The living space is stunning - plenty of space for the babies to roll around on the floor whilst being contained! The views from the windows are gorgeous. Lisa was very responsive during our stay when we had a couple of queries. Highly recommend!

Unique 18thC Yorks Dales Silk Weavers’ mill house.

BillRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Coming from the States, we were looking for a quintessential Yorkshire Dales experience: someplace peaceful and quiet with beautiful scenery. This place fit the bill perfectly. The house was very comfortable and we especially loved the shower, beds and comforters. It really is self catered so be sure to bring any cooking staples you will need. Beautiful artwork throughout the house, and some great magazines to read on rainy days. We did have an issue on the second to last day we were there - the power went out for no apparent reason. Luckily we were able to isolate the problem circuit and get things partially working again. Claire was very helpful and arranged for showers we could use in the cabins at the main property down the road. All in all, it was a lovely location and we would definitely stay there again.

The house had everything we needed, its very cosy house and beautifully furnished and clean. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The house is in a great location for visiting the near by wall. Graeme also went to a lot of effort to let us know where everything was before we got there.

We had a great stay at Hilltop, it's a lovely cottage. I was able to have breakfast outside every day of my stay which was a real luxury for me. We did some great hikes too venturing to the Borrowdale valley with its stunning views and even went down to the beach one day. Good communication with Natasha as well, would definitely reccomend.

18th Century Country Cottage on a working farm

RachaelRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had the most wonderful few days away at The Old Smithy. Kay was a fantastic host, warm, welcoming, and attentive. We would absolutely stay here again. We’ll also be highly recommending this charming cottage to our friends and family. On our first evening, Kay greeted us personally, and shortly after, her lovely granddaughters enthusiastically introduced our son to all the animals on the property. It was such a thoughtful and heartwarming welcome. The cottage itself is absolutely stunning, beautifully maintained, full of character, and perfectly suited for a relaxing family getaway. We felt at ease from the moment we arrived.

Fern Cottage, Great Strickland

Beautiful cottage in a fab location. Great local pub with excellent chips, and easy to drive/walk to local attractions and walks. The cottage was charming, and very nicely decorated. We spent ages sitting in the lovely warm conservatory which was very welcome as the weather was very changeable. The bed was very comfortable and linen smelled lovely. Very quiet location and our little dog loved watching the birds in the garden.

Cosy country cottage in picturesque rural setting

MarcellaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Spent a relaxing long weekend in Helen’s lovely cottage. Helen is a great host making us feel extremely welcome and provided everything we needed, even toys for the dog! Sitting in the lounge and looking out the large window watching her stunning horses, a million rabbits and partridges chasing each other was the highlight for our dog who made himself at home the moment we arrived. The garden is a rare perfectly enclosed dog friendly garden, first time we have felt relaxed about letting our dog off knowing he couldn’t get out and wander. This makes a huge difference. Good location to go exploring Cumbria and Northumberland. Plenty facilities within a short distance. We were lucky to witness the most amazing electrical storm whilst there, was out of this world. ( Helen slept through it so we gave her a video of it 🙈) Would recommend this great little place whether you use it as a stop over ( 10 mins from the M6) or to spend a few days to switch off and relax. Thank you Helen xx

Orchard Cottage - An 18th Century Cumbrian Cottage

JeremyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Peg's Cottage was a lovely escape into the countryside. It is situated in a small, picturesque village. The cottage is beautiful inside, with everything you would need for a stay. Just bring some oil and herbs if you want want to cook. Peg was so friendly and helpful to us. She met us when we arrived and showed us around the place. There were clear instructions around the cottage and on the noticeboard which answered any questions we had. You'll be making a great choice if you wish to stay here

Absolutely beautiful cottage, the photos don't do this place justice! the interior has been throughly thought about and matches the cosy countryside vibes perfectly. Check in was easy, and the location being a short walk to Windermere was great. The home made brownies were a lovely touch too. We'll definitely be back!

Woodland Barn

AlanRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Great location, in a peaceful country spot, but close enough to enjoy Durham. We had a lovely stay, and Paula was really helpful. We had hot weather, but the windows opened fully to allow a breeze to go through, and the bedrooms being downstairs were cooler. Enjoyed a barbecue outside one evening in the sunshine. Would definitely recommend - a lovely stay. Thanks.

Converted Barn, Patterdale in the Lake District

RobRating, 5 stars2 months ago
My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Crook a Beck Barn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. It is well equipped, with a great kitchen, plenty of wardrobe space and a large walk in shower alongside a large bath. It is in a peaceful setting with beautiful views and has all levels of walks available straight from the property. We enjoyed the extras especially the lemon drizzle cake made by Judith. We will definitely books this property again on our next visit to Patterdale.

Thank you so much to Joanne. This was the perfect location for our needs but we wanted to also feel like we were on a little holiday and the cottage certainly helped! So tastefully done, cosy but spacious and has everything you could need. Being so close to the shop and pub is obviously also a plus! Lovely and clean, comfortable, and great host. Would stay here again if in the area. Thank you so much.
