Cabin holiday rentals in Alta Sierra

Our stay was wonderful. The home was exactly as stated and very peaceful. We had a great time and will definitely be staying here again in the future.

We had a wonderful time celebrating Memorial Day weekend at Willow's place. The amenities were perfect for our stay with plenty of space for us all to feel comfortable. The bedrooms were spacious, we enjoyed eating meals in the lovely dining area, as well as barbecuing and eating dinner outdoors under the gazebo. We even found an opportunity to take a soak in the hot tub. The location was desirable - close to several restaurants and stores. While in the area, members of our party enjoyed rafting down the American River, hiking to the waterfall in Sly Park, wine tasting, golfing, lunch at a brewery in Placerville, and take-out from the nearby pizza place which was actually quite tasty. We also appreciated the excellent communication between the host. We'd love to go back in the future - Pollack Pines has so much to see and do and Willow's place has all the comforts anyone could ever ask for!

The boulder cabin was a great place to come home to after a long day of work with great communal and private spaces and good amenities. We really appreciated Stephanie and Debi’s quick response and instructions. I highly recommend their place!

Had the most amazing stay with my pups to get away from the city. They got to run around and be free while we enjoyed the hot tub. The aesthetics of the place were 10/10. Used the wood burning stove religiously as it was a bit chilly, which made the stay so cozy. Grass valley is a really really cute town too. The perfect private quiet getaway.

Nicolas’s home is excellent — clean, spacious, and very comfortable for more than just a short stay. The terrace is great for BBQ, and the shade from the acacia tree makes it perfect for breakfast outdoors. We truly appreciated that the house is pet-friendly. We had two large dogs, and they loved the small fenced area and dog door. Please clean up after your pets if you bring them too. Upstairs has several bedrooms, one with a beautiful sky and forest view. The kitchen is well-equipped (though a few more dishes would be great), laundry is available, and internet is strong. TV works well too. The host lives next door but gives you total privacy. Nicolas was always helpful and respectful. Only two small notes: the house is close to a road (not an issue for us), and we hoped the hot tub was in a more cozy location — we didn’t end up using it. Great location: close to wineries, an apple farm, shops, and gas stations. We visited Sacramento, Sonoma, Napa ,even Lake Tahoe to San Francisco

Benjamin’s space was the perfect weekend getaway. Close to town with shopping, bars and restaurants. The space is only a 15 minute drive to the South Yuba River with tons of hiking and swimming. His space was perfect to come home to after a day of exploring to unwind, throw some food on the grill and enjoy an evening by the creek that runs behind the house. Would definitely book again next time we visit Nevada City.

Kalery’s place is super unique with the cabin / yurt combo! The place feels secluded but is a short drive from Grass Valley & Nevada City where there are a ton of restaurants and fun bars. We loved relaxing on the back patio listening to the nearby creek and spending time in the hot tub. The place was super cozy /clean and we had all the info we needed for a seamless stay. Would def visit again!

The house was clean and beautiful; a cozy and inviting space. We stayed in one of the downstairs bedrooms, because of our dog, and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and organized. We were in town to visit family and didn’t spend as much time at the house as we would have liked, and so did not utilize all the amenities the property had to offer. We did enjoy the creek one afternoon though and it was very peaceful. It’s about a 20 minute scenic drive to Grass Valley. Hemang and Lisa were great hosts and were available if we needed anything. We really enjoyed our stay.

Just stayed at this beautiful AirBnB cabin—absolutely stunning! The host has amazing taste in decor, and every detail is thoughtfully planned, from cooking equipment to outdoor candles for keeping bugs away. The breathtaking view and cozy outdoor deck made it easy to relax and count the stars. Plus, the host even provides a self-made handbook with local guides and dog-friendly trail information, which was a big plus for us. Truly a perfect stay!

We really liked this place. Rural, very scenic. The cabin is very well constructed and well maintained. Nice step-in shower. Good kitchen. Bring food. There aren’t many dining choices nearby. The trading post at Dutch Flat is surprisingly well stocked, which is a good thing because the mini-mart/gas station at the Dutch Flat off ramp is the only other place around to get provisions.

Tim’s place is beautiful and peaceful as well as relaxing. It’s a place I would love to stay again.

We had a great stay at Robert’s place! Great location close to all the businesses in Foresthill. The cabin was clean and cozy and nicely decorated, we enjoyed sitting out on the deck. Would recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in Foresthill!

We had a family get away here. We were able to cook our meals in the nice kitchen and with the BBQ, enjoyed our meal all gathered around the large dining table, including our grandson in a high chair (provided.) Plenty of room to play video games as a group upstairs, and then play pool and air hockey downstairs while listening to YouTube music. It made for a fun time all together. Geeta kept in communication and then helped me arrange to get my forgotten bag picked up! (Thank you, Geeta!!!) I highly recommend this home for a comfortable, fun time together as a group.

The cabin was such an amazing get away. The location is perfect — 10 min from the Yuba and Nevada City. The cabin is cozy but with everything you could need. And the sauna, tub, and outdoor shower made it feel like we had our own private spa. Will definitely be back again!

I was looking for a quiet spot tucked into nature that was close by outdoor areas I wanted to explore. This was perfect for that. The house is easy to get to, was cozy, and has everything you need. Solid deck area just off the bedroom for relaxing outside, and then a beautiful little slice of nature right off the deck with pretty mix of trees, flowers, birds, etc. A very peaceful setting and even prettier in person. I explored Sly Park rec area which had some good hiking and lake activities just 15 minutes up 50. Also convenient location to explore Slab Creek for Kayaking. The wifi was strong enough for solid remote work too if needed. Overall, awesome little cabin on great piece of land and I will hopefully be back!

The cabin was amazing. Just outside of town and on a private pond. They have a summer camp across the pond. You hear cheerful kids playing and the serene landscape of the ca foothills. Truly a great place to stay.

This is a beautiful home that was filled with lots of fun things to borrow. This has a great kitchen with everything you can imagine and very nice quality everything. They even offered a few things for guests that may have forgotten something! I highly recommend this beautiful home! Thank you for the wonderful place to stay to celebrate my 60th birthday.

The house is filled with character and so much fun to stand, but the balcony overlooking the meadow below filled with oak trees down at the bottom really did it for us. Not to mention the grey fox that visited us a few times from a distance. What fun!

We were pleasantly surprised to find the cabin just as in the photos with all the amenities that were described. Everything worked; the TVs had many channels to choose from, board games, complimentary smore's stuff, Keurig coffee, and all the cooking necessities were there including spices, oils and some food. All the propane tanks for the outdoor fire and BBQ were full, the showers were clean, the bathrooms were spotless and the appliances were all new or near new. It was like stepping into a cozy dream cabin and we felt so cared for and looked after. We can tell that Christine truly cares about her visitors considering the detail and care she puts into making sure we were comfortable. She provided a local attractions list that was extremely helpful in locating fun things to do nearby and she even had a free entrance/parking pass for Jenkinson Lake!!! All in all a wonderful and memorable experience. We will be planning a winter escape to her cabin soon.

This place was amazing and so were the hosts. We held our wedding reception here and everyone couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was. This place is a 10/10 highly recommend!!!!!!

We had an amazing stay at this secluded property with stunning 360° views and a peaceful atmosphere. The drive in was beautiful, and the location was perfect—close to OHV trails, hiking, a reservoir, and shooting areas, yet tucked away on a quiet road with no noise. Shelli was a fantastic host, welcoming us personally and showing us around. Generator noise from nearby properties was minimal and didn't affect our stay. We only used ours once; the battery power lasted most of our 4-day visit. The property combines the peace of camping with home comforts like hot shower, kitchen, and clean bathroom. Our dogs loved the open space, though wildlife is around. Other things to note are lots of spiders and mosquitoes in May, and the water had a sulfur smell - but it made my hair super soft! Overall, a peaceful, comfortable getaway.

The very best of any Air BNB I’ve stayed at! The host was fantastic and the house was amazing. High end carpeting and tile, great bbq that we took advantage of. Pristine bathrooms with good water pressure. Not a single con to staying at Angelli’s place.

Cute place in the heart of Nevada city with off street parking, walking distance to all that Nevada city has to offer. Brianne met us at check in which was really nice. While it is a small place, it has everything you need including kitchenette with mini fridge, high quality bath products, tea/coffee. I enjoyed the clawfoot tub with complimentary bath soak and very comfortable king bed. Despite being close to shops and nightlife, I found the place to be very comfortable and quiet (we visited in April). I appreciated the antique decor and aesthetic. Things to note- not ideal if you wish to cook your own food although you won’t need to with so many food options and restaurants nearby. My partner is 5’10 and had trouble comfortably standing up in the shower. There is a hand held shower head as well that helped! We would stay here again! Thank you Brianne

We had a great time at this cabin! It was absolutely beautiful. First night there was hardly any snow and the second night it was snowing all day and was an absolute winter wonderland. I highly appreciate the snow plow on the road to get us safely back to highway 80. Friendly neighbors too, hi Randy!
