Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Altenau

We felt super comfortable. The house is very quiet in a narrow side street. All photos correspond to the circumstances. Communication with the owner was always friendly and easy. All agreements worked wonderfully. There were times when there were 7 of us there and the kitchen was also sufficiently equipped with everything you need. There were really sharp knives☺️👍. The kitchen and dining area is tasteful, modern and lovingly furnished and was our favorite area to stay. The 2nd kitchen is located on the top floor, where the bedrooms are also located. You have to climb 2 steeper stairs to get there. However, there is also the sofa bed in the living room on the ground floor. The bathrooms are also modern and large, and on the ground floor there is a cozy, warm infrared cabin👍. Overall, a successful stay for us☺️

Lovingly furnished, very cozy house with plenty of space and beautiful backyard with sun garden. We felt super comfortable and would be happy to come back!

The accommodation is very nice and equipped with many things. The area is very quiet and there are many day trip destinations. Also an optimal starting point for hiking. We took a generation family vacation and there was something for everyone. In three of the four bedrooms, I lacked the wardrobes. Since we arrived with children, we would have needed additional storage space. It should also be mentioned that you cannot swim well in the lake directly in front of the house, as there are many stones there. There is another lake, max. 5 minutes on foot with forest bath.

We felt comfortable in the accommodation of Almut and Rüdiger from the beginning! The house was much better equipped than expected (kitchen utensils, toys, etc.) and really nothing was missing. The two are wonderful hosts and were extraordinarily flexible and helpful, especially when checking in and out. For our family reunion with 7 adults and 2 kids the house was perfect and the value was more than good. We will be happy to come back!

A heavenly accommodation that leaves nothing to be desired and where you can relax both indoors and outdoors. - the fabulous high-quality furnishings leave nothing to be desired. From the puzzle cup to the reading glasses to the fire bowl, you will find everything your heart desires for a holiday. Thank you Regina and Frank!

If you want to be on your own, this is the place to be. For the arrival, just follow Mareike's instructions, then it will work great! You can reach many shopping facilities in 5 minutes by car. They were really relaxing days! Only the TV reception was poor to non-existent due to the covered satellite dish - but hey, in the beautiful area, it's only a disadvantage in the dark :)

Nice place and Till was very friendly, helpful, and communicative. Clean and kitchen is stocked with everything 1-2 people need in terms of cookware, cutlery, etc. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing location within short driving distance of many good hiking paths in the Harz. We had a great weekend in this cozy accommodation with a fantastic view! Mark was very friendly and helpful. He answered our questions quickly and even allowed us to check in earlier, which we greatly appreciated. The accommodation is small, but very cozy and perfect for a short vacation. The summer toboggan run can be easily reached on foot. It was also very convenient that each bedroom had its own bathroom. However, the hot water was sometimes used up quickly, so we could not all shower at the same time. Unfortunately, we had bad luck with the weather and it was quite cold, so we were glad that the heaters were on, really great! Nearby is the Pizzeria La Capri, which we highly recommend! Although it is a bit more expensive, the food (we had pizza and steak) was worth every penny. All in all, we had a great weekend and can only recommend the accommodation!

We had a super nice stay at Sonja's. My boyfriend could quickly get on the highway on his racing bike and ride a lot of kilometers on good routes with a lot of altitude. Meanwhile, I could walk on the many fine routes that are within a short distance of Braunlage. In the afternoon, we could enjoy some sun when it was out on the cozy terrace in front of the house. We can definitely recommend a visit to Sonja 😊

We are full of satisfaction with the space. We had lots of space everywhere. Andrea kindly greeted us at the garden gate. Darlingerode is a good place to take tours in the Harz. Darlingerode is easily accessible by public transport. The guest card can be used as a bus ticket. The Gasthof Gemedekrug in Drübeck is also recommended.

Super nice stay for 10 days. Frank took a short walk in the garden every day without intruding. You can ask about anything, and he was very accommodating. We had no problems, but I am convinced that he would solve them. His dog is friendly and calm. A very nice stay in a secluded area. We'd love to come again. Birthe and Bjarne Jensen

Beautifully organised apartment, with everything we needed and wanted. Cutlery and kitchen equipment/appliances were much better than average, which was a welcome surprise. Stunning view of the town from the balcony, ideal spot for sunny breakfast and/or a glass of wine. Highly recommended!

Stayed here with my group of friends and we all absolutely loved this place. Great location, good parking. Place was really clean and great interior. Wish we could’ve stayed longer, would definitely stay again. No complaints

The place was not super modern, but really clean. the large room was great for eating or playing together as a large group. From the house there are a few smaller hiking routes. Everything else is quickly accessible by car. (playgrounds, swimming pool, hiking routes...) All in all, we were very satisfied.

We found the house very nice,it is nicely decorated. In the kitchen is everything you need. The landlord is very nice. We highly recommend 😊

A nice private place to relax, but also to discover Harz. The location is ideal to do everything on foot and by car. Ideal that there is also a charging station for the car. Very welcoming hoasts that are there when you need them, but do not force themselves otherwise (the cottage is in their backyard). The house was exactly as described, and the cleanest(!) I've been to so far. Had a wonderful week!

Great cozy place to stay. We felt comfortable and enjoyed the holiday very much. A few small things are improving/repairing, but it is taken care of. We will be happy to come back.

We spent an extended weekend in the Harz (Schierke). In fantastic weather, starting from our accommodation, we were able to hike on the Brocken. The resort leaves nothing to be desired and we have been able to enjoy a wonderful break. We will be happy to come back!

Beautiful, cozy retreat after strenuous hikes. Particularly beautiful was the lovingly landscaped garden, which is equipped with several places to stay. The house does not leave any wishes open including great views of the valley.
