Cottage holiday rentals in Alto Alentejo

My family and I had an amazing time. The host, Raquel, was amazing and very responsive. The amenities of the house, the cleaningless were perfect. Our kids loved playing with the toys provided in the house or in the pool. We also managed to go to the beach (3 minutes by bike) to watch the sunset. We will definitely come back in Troia and we recommend anyone to stay there. All the best, Sébastien

We went to the country house with friends and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The idea that the bedrooms are downstairs and the rest of the rooms in the house are upstairs seemed very good to us for those who wanted to rest. Everything was very clean and the house is as shown in the listing. Alejandro is very friendly and gave us perfect directions to get there and to the parking area, since it's a small town and not all the streets are suitable for parking. Besides, the village is beautiful. We will definitely be back !!!

Lovely house in a friendly village with bars, small supermarkets and pharmacy. Lovely walks around the area. Garden area perfect to relax. Ana responsive and friendly. Easy parking.

We stayed at Daniel's place for a little more than a week. It was a very restful experience for us in a beautiful rural setting. There are services like restaurants and grocery stores within a close distance at Montemor-o-Novo. It is easy to make meals at the house if you want, the kitchen is well equipped. The house is nicely renovated in a way that blends new and old. It feels very spacious even though it is a modest size. There is an outdoor eating area shaded by a trellis and a large tree that provides a great space for outdoor dining and relaxing. The house interior stays at a comfortable temperature even when it is quite warm outside. Daniel was very helpful with suggestions about things to do in the area and where to eat. We would definitely return again if possible.

Excellent estate for families with children. We were great in accommodation. The surroundings are wonderful, very quiet and beautiful.

We have enjoyed Casa de Asseiceira 2 very much, very clean, very comfortable and functional, well equipped; we did not miss anything. The peace and tranquility that reigns in the place invite you to rest fully. Lurdes and Emanuel are super hosts, very kind, respectful of privacy, and at the same time attentive at all times, conveying the certainty that if you needed them they would be there, although it was not necessary, since from the first moment we had everything we needed to enjoy the stay. We fired up a barbecue and used it every day, and we were able to taste the best fish from the Porto Covo municipal market at home. Thank you very much Lurdes and Emanuel for letting us enjoy your house, we left with the sadness and at the same time joy of leaving behind some unforgettable days.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is beautiful. The area is peaceful and quiet. There is a little grocery store and restaurant within walking distance. It was a lovely spot to stay and drive to Fatima and other sites in the area. Hosts are very responsive and helpful. We had a little trouble finding the place and they came right away and met us. Would definitely stay again!!

This is our 3rd time back to Miguel’s house. We love it here, it’s perfect with or without children. We have done both. It’s a great location, peaceful but with a few useful places in the village and a really quick drive to any and all amenities and supermarkets. We will most certainly be visiting again. Unique location, far away from all the hustle and bustle. A place to relax with a fantastic garden, swimming pool with loungers for cooling off and very clean and tidy interior. The accommodation has all the comforts. Sonia responded quickly, attentively and very kindly to our questions. The nearest large supermarket is 15 minutes by car. Please note: the last few hundred meters to the accommodation are unpaved and very narrow, so drive carefully. But upon arrival, the great enjoyment begins!

I travelled with my family of 4 to Maria’s. The property is a dream, we stayed in Casa das Alcachofras. The attention to detail, the comfortability and quietness, we loved our time there and will definitely come back!! Thank you Maria for being such a great host.

Absolutely lovely! The apartment, patio, pool, and gardens felt like a little slice of paradise. The housekeeper, Rosie, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. She brought out toys for our daughter and invited us to have fruits from the garden. Thank you, Rosie!

An unforgettable week in your holiday home Our week in your holiday home was truly a dream. The panoramic view over the ocean and the beach was breathtaking , waking up to that view every morning was pure magic. What made the stay extra special were the small observations that coloured local life. It was fascinating to see how people enthusiastically took selfies at the most beautiful places. It was also impressive to see how suppliers brought their products down the steep stairs – a true art in itself. The balcony was a true paradise: spacious, comfortable and with a view that invited us to enjoy the surroundings for hours. Although we noticed the musty air in the bedroom, we accepted this. With the tips we received to regulate the humidity, we were able to further optimise our stay. A fan for the night would be a welcome addition to improve the air circulation. I was once again well received by Grace, who proves to always be attentive, helpful and available to help with anything. Including cooking good dishes! Grateful for Rita's attention and availability, which is very communicative and concerned about guests. Celine's estate is a true haven of peace, with a natural beauty that conveys enormous sensations of calmness and lightness. It is always a pleasure to be in the company of the farm animals and to be able to interact with everyone. I'll come back a third time🤍

The farm is a very nice place, great for resting in the countryside. The house is equipped with everything you need. Outside space is excellent, with a wide variety of activities available for both children and adults. The always friendly and available hostess gave us all the support and useful information. It was only 4 days but we would like to repeat it.

We had a brilliant time at Canto Do Zêzere - the house is really clean, spacious and comfortable, and the lakeside location is absolutely stunning. Boating on the lake was a highlight! We would definitely come back again.
