Waterfront holiday rentals in Alto Alentejo

Had a great stay in a great location. Would say not really suitable for anyone with walking disability as very hilly. Location was great with a 10 minute walk down to river. We used uber and cabs to get back up. Take trainers or shoes with grip as pavements are slippery 😳

We had an amazing stay at Susana’s place :-) Though, we didn’t expect to climb up such steep and narrow steps up to the apartment but we managed! Susana was responsive, kind and very helpful. Check-in was a breeze and the location is perfect— right in the middle of bustling street in the heart of Lisbon, made this stay incredibly worth it :-) The apartment itself was beautifully decorated, with gorgeous views out into the sea from the balcony and a humble pantry for cooking. Highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible view of river. Space was so clean and well kept. Host was great. A little tight for our family of 7 but the space was great, it was well worth it & I’d love to go back.

The apartment is located inn a great area - Alfama. The hike to get to the unit was tough especially when I went in the wrong direction from the train station, but Pedro was patiently waiting there for us. After our hike to get there, completing the 68 steps to the unit was a breeze. LOL The view is spectacular and saw cruise ships coming and going every day. The unit was clean, comfortable. I had issues with the TV but did not go to Lisbon to watch TV. I was connected to the Wi-FI but not the internet, which was fine as my phone did the work for me and I was not working online. Ann and Rita Have created a special space and were are grateful for the accommodations. They did a tasteful job with the decor. I would definitely recommend the unit to anyone. Great job. Our family loved our time at Ana & Michael's! My teenage children each had their own bedroom and bathroom and loved their privacy. The view from the rooftop was amazing and we all enjoyed the quaint neighborhood we were in. Perfect spot for our crew at the end of our summer trip!

This place was great for three couples (we made the youngest sleep on the pullout, lol). Everyone had their own bathroom. The living space accommodated all of us. So nice to have an outdoor area with beautiful views! Get ready for the stairs to walking up the 4 flights though. Luckily we were out most of the day. lol. Beautiful place!

Great location , right next to castle entrance. Beautiful old building and located next to traditional restaurants and bars. Fantastic views from balcony. We had a wonderful stay 😊

We had a fantastic stay at Sofia’s Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality. She took the time to personally meet us, brought us some fresh Pastéis de Belém and wine, which made our experience feel very special. Her instructions and recommendations were incredibly helpful, ensuring we felt comfortable and knew the best places to explore. Whether it was tips on local restaurants or guidance on how to navigate the area, her insights made our trip so much smoother. The space itself was cozy and well-equiped, providing everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The appartement is on 3 floors, there is 1 bathroom on 1st floor to be used for bedroom on 3rd floor. The other bathroom is within the masterbed room. We truly appreciate the personal touch and care that Sofia puts into hosting, and we would highly recommend her place to anyone looking for a great experience. She also accomodated an earlier check-in as our flights arrived early morning.

Phantastic house with a beautiful huge garden, lake view and direct access to the lake. The house is a traditional stone house but the interior is very tasteful and modern. The house itself is great but the outside is even better. A large garden with different areas and absolutely beautiful trees and plants. You can see and feel that João and his family have put a lot of love into the house and the garden and thought of every detail. Bi Strong recommendation if you want to stay in a lovely house that is spacious but also very private. João is a very attentive host and very friendly. We were greeted with a warm smile, self made Olive oil and freshly picked lemons from the garden. If possible I would rate with more than 5 stars. 🙂🤩

Such a special place! The beach house was wonderful to stay in, waking up to that view and the children being able to run down to the sea was amazing. The beach house was very clean and just as described and the host very helpful & responsive. The host also recommended the local restaurant and what to get so we had gorgeous grilled fish delivered to the house each night. One of my most favorite holidays, we can’t wait to come back.

The property is simply amazing, it's in my top 5 of all the places I've ever stayed! It has everything you need, whether for a short or longer stay. The host, João, was extremely attentive and always very quick to respond. For one lapse, we left some things behind, but João tried to send them quickly in the mail, which was a great help. This was a fantastic experience and no doubt we'll be back soon. I highly recommend!

We spent a week at Daniel's house with 2 families and had a great time. The house and property are not only large, but also already furnished or laid out. The kitchen is well equipped and with heated pool, new foosball, yoga mats, the ping pong table and the barbecue there is plenty to do even without excursions. But given the beautiful, quiet nature (occasionally the dog barking a little annoying) in the immediate vicinity and the versatile beaches (in the west with waves, at Sesimbra quiet Caribbean, but cold:-)) it would be a pity to forego excursions. However, you need a rental car and shopping facilities are a little further away (until the small shop in the village that offers Essentials). We would definitely book the house again.

The hosts couldnt have been more communicative! So helpful and clear and gave us lots of good recommendations. Grounds were lovely, as was the apartment. The actual neighborhood on the port side was ok, the other side was nicer. So nice to have the nespresso coffee pods and sugar for the mornings. 5 out of 5

Extremely nice apartment and well equipped with kitchen and bathroom supplies. Location was 5 minute walk to grocery store and 2 bus stations within 1 minute walk. Balcony was wonderful to enjoy morning and evening. If you enjoy walking, closest beach is 10 minutes away. Thank you for sharing your home. Would book again if i make a return trip!

We loved our time in this centrally located condo! It was cozy and clean, and we had easy access to beaches, stores, and restaurants. We would come here again and again.

We had a great time. From the apartment, we could visit many beautiful places and it is still very quiet and private. The village is only 4 minutes away by car and it is also very nice to eat something there and spend time on the beach. The hostess provided us with everything necessary and was not intrusive. We will be happy to come back!

The apartment is great, spacious, comfortable with a beautiful view over the sea. Very luminous and bright. Pedro and Teresa were really accommodating as I arrived late. Definitely recommended!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was perfect for us. The space itself was beautiful and thoughtfully decorated. It was spacious, with air conditioning, and had all the amenities we needed. It was a modern apartment that had the charm of an older building. The location was fantastic! In the heart of everything and close to great restaurants, bars, and historical sights. It was nice to constantly see the famous tram 28 going by the area! I would recommend this stay for literally anyone. It’s also accessible by elevator which is nice after many kilometres of walking the city. The host (Andre) was friendly and met us at check in and provided many recommendations! Thanks for the wonderful accommodation
