Holiday rentals with a fireplace in American River

There aren’t enough words or enough space to say how amazing this Airbnb is and how perfect our stay was. We came for a very important event in our lives and needed a peaceful, quiet, private and comfortable house, ideally walkable and nearby shops. Oh boy how it delivered! Julie Ann and Homer were absolute perfect hosts, responsive and thoughtful. They made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The place is a true sanctuary, just like the ad says, it’s beautiful, well decorated, clean, comfortable, so quiet and in the middle of nature. I know that they are also working on offering experiences which I think will work great with the place. We were so comfortable that we were sad to leave and go home! We had a 6 weeks stay and it was a great fit for long term, we could have stayed much longer. It would work well for a weekend stay as well, but be warned you will never want to leave! Anna’s place was fantastic! Clean, clean, clean in every single room, on every single surface, even the windows were spotless! No clutter, well-appointed rooms, comfy beds, with nice pillows and sheets. Beautiful bathroom and all new appliances in the kitchen. Super quiet, nice, walkable neighborhood. The front of the house has lovely curb appeal with a manicured lawn, and beautiful hydrangea bushes, while the back yard is very relaxing and comfortable with outdoor furniture, a lovely green lawn, and horses just beyond the fence. All in all, Anna’s place is top notch across the board, in every category! One can tell immediately that she takes great pride in her place! Thank you so much for making my stay in Sacramento such a pleasant one Anna!

Great place to stay. Just a few steps away from great walking trails along the beautiful American river. Being at the end of a street is really nice. Definitely would stay again.

This location was our second stay at this place. We were please we our stay. We are planning our next year visit and place remains one of top selections.

This is one of my favorite rentals I have stayed in. It is cute and charming on a beautiful tree lined street. The care taken with updating the inside and outside of this house and property are really perfect. If we head up this way again we will stay here without question. He helped us check in early which greatly impacted our arrival in a positive way.

This back unit of the duplex gave my family & I the peace and quiet we needed! Off the bat, Alicia the host was welcoming, friendly and excellent in answering my concerns about the house being a duplex with occupants in the next unit. I was worried about noise level. In truth, we didn’t hear or see anyone from arrival to departure. Large screen tv made movie night fun, as well as game night with provided board games. Check out chores was only to load dishwasher, collect used towels and take out trash. The steep driveway, the neighbors and being close to the road weren’t an issue for us. The pool and jacuzzi put us on chill & relax mode upon arrival.

Great home with lots of spaces for family time. It was perfect for all of us traveling from the east coast to celebrate our daughter’s graduation.

Eddy is an awesome guy. His apartment is really nice and has all the amenities very very clean there’s a pool there there’s a gym it’s close to lots of great stuff in Folsom and it’s very safe there’s a gate and there’s lots of nice neighbors… I also like the way Eddy does business he’s not excessive with rules we communicate on things and he’s flexible and to me that’s really important and having a host… I would definitely come back there again and look forward to it thanks for the great stay Eddy!

I had a wonderful stay at Lucia's apartment. It was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The location was excellent, with easy access to grocery stores and restaurants. The fast internet was perfect for work. Lucia was a fantastic host – helpful, responsive, and communicative throughout my stay. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay at Jennifer and Eric's place. We felt right at home the minute we stepped through the door. The layout of the apartment made the bedrooms very private and quiet with a comfortable living room, kitchen, and dining room area. The huge deck provided a lot of outdoor space. Jennifer and Eric live on the property so we saw them periodically. They were friendly and respectful our space and time. The house is located right off of I-80, so it was quick and easy to get to Auburn and other destinations. We had a few questions during our 10 day stay and Jennifer was exceptionally quick in responding. We will definitely stay there again the next time we are in the area.

My Host is a VERY GOOD Host, she always responds VERY quickly, I would recommend this place, BUT after we leave.

We had a fabulous time and the back yard / pool area was a perfect setting for my large bachelorette. It seemed the host was anxious about having a group our size (23 women) yet did not list anywhere a maximum number of guests on the listing. It seemed we earned their trust through the stay though. Initially it felt awkward to have to text the host for things like turning on the hot tub or outdoor lights or pool slide, but they were pretty fast in response time and it ended up feeling pretty easy. Wish the kitchen would have had more kitchen towels, seems maybe not set up for full on dinner party use - but they did bring trash bags and replace the outside grill upon our request, which was impressive. Overall a positive experience! The grotto was lots of fun - we never left the property all weekend.

Our stay was very nice the home is great absolutely amazing we definitely enjoyed our stay at Julia place..if we ever get to go back soon and it’s still available for us to stay there we will definitely book her house again..highly recommended you to book this Airbnb if you ho to a family vacation or reunion in Elk Grove Sacramento Cali..thank you so much Julia🫶🏼

I wish we could give 6 stars! This was even better than the photos (which are already stellar). And the stocked fridge and pantry could not have been a kinder, more generous gesture!

With no hotel options near here, this was a perfect alternative. Walkable to restaurants, quick drive to a few local spots and full access to Lifetime Fitness. We will return for sure.

Beautiful place! The house was everything as described by Jimmy and as mentioned in the reviews. Sadly we didn’t get to enjoy the house much due to being in Sacramento for a funeral. Jimmy was very responsive. He quickly responded to a question I had.

Looks exactly as pictured and Steve was always nearby if we needed help figuring anything out with the house. It is a very large home with a beautiful view. Used the hot tub and pellet stove almost every night. It was the perfect escape for the holidays with our family. Enough space that family could rest while sharing the home with an infant.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ITS A WHOLE VIBE!!! Great for a Girls’ Trip! We had a group of 10 ladies for a girls' getaway, and this place was perfect. The pool and hot tub were clean and ready to enjoy, and the pool house was spacious—great for relaxing together. The bedrooms were beautiful and comfortable, and the whole house was very clean and well stocked. There were plenty of towels, serving dishes, and everything we needed to cook and hang out. It really felt like a home away from home. It’s peaceful and quiet out in the country, but still just a short drive to stores and shopping. The BBQ grill was a nice bonus for outdoor meals. Thank you, Brendan, for being a great host and making sure everything was just right. We would absolutely stay here again!

This beautiful home with 5 bedrooms and a swimming pool is just what we needed for our family reunion! We had six adults sleeping there and our grandkids visiting some days. We cooked a lot of food and swam a little bit. The backyard was peaceful and we enjoyed going for walks on nearby trails. We appreciated the large square footage because we came from several time zones and were on different sleep schedules and this house provided the space we needed to spread out or to gather. Would definitely stay here again!
