Holiday rentals with lake access in Androscoggin County

Extremely peaceful and relaxing! The rental is more like a home than a cottage/camp with its recent tasteful, pleasing, and very functional renovations (the flooring was well done and looked great; the mini-split system made it very comfortable even when it was in the 90’s; and, the new furnishings were attractive and comfortable). We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Violeta and her space were amazing. The house was exactly as advertised and we felt right at home for our long weekend. We are looking forward to making this a yearly visit!

We had a wonderful stay at Sally's place! It was comfortable and we had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the kayaks being available. The area is also very beautiful!

Another AMAZING stay! This was our third time staying at Jeremiah’s place and it never disappoints! The beautiful view of the lake and surroundings to enjoy our morning coffee is such a great way to start our day! We got to enjoy the canoe this time and paddled all around the lake, it’s absolutely beautiful and relaxing! Whenever we come to this part of Maine, we will always stay here!

A five star setting in a true Maine oasis. If you're looking for a great , clean and comfortable house with a pondfront setting in a small Maine town, look no further. Every amenity you would hope for is there. Furniture is nice and lots of homey personal touches. Great bed which isn't always the case in even better AirBnBs. Hosts were good communicators and responses to questions came quickly. No complaint on anything. Dog friendly is a bonus!

I had a wonderful 2-day stay at this lake house with my friends. The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described by the host. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings — it was the perfect spot for a quick getaway by the lake. The hosts were very responsive and answered any questions quickly. The family love this home and location. Christy and Joe were very pleasant to deal with and always responded to our concerns no matter how small. The location was very beautiful this time of year, perfect and very quiet. Instructions to the home were straightforward and easy to understand. We were in the area for a very brief last min visit to see family and because we didn't want to kennel our dog we searched airbnb and found Elizabeth's place. She has a wonderful place gem of a place, very peaceful. We awoke to the sounds of the birds singing. Her place is the most dog friendly we have been to with dog toys,treats,bags and dog bed and our dog immediately felt right at home. Elizabeth is a wonderful host ,very responsive and kind. We will stay here again should we be back to the area.

It was just what we needed. It was so relaxing. It was Homie quaint it was nicely dated very convenient full kitchen drawing room or sitting room. The lake is literally maybe 45 steps away which brings you three docs and any color kayak you want lifejackets you know safety first and great bass fishing. It was beautiful. I enjoyed the R&R honestly it was for anniversary/Mother’s Day so it was very peaceful. The bed is so comfortable. It was just a wonderful time. Beautiful couch very comfortable. You can fit too. You wanna lay down and watch a movie. Plenty of places to eat little stores to run to. It was really nice. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be coming back.

We had a wonderful stay! Lisa is very responsive and so nice. We quickly made friends with Bella, the resident dog, and she is the sweetest pup. We were surprised with a Thanksgiving snow storm and the town lost power but there is a whole house generator, so we didn’t skip a beat or notice the power outage, which was so nice! There is a coffee pot on site (not a Keurig) and Lisa provided coffee grounds, which was amazing because we brought coffee pods. The bathroom is directly off the bedroom but there is no door, so if you need more privacy, I’d plan to tack up a blanket. The view of the lake is gorgeous and the property is peaceful. A gas station with a Dunkin is just a just a minute or two down the road and very convenient. We would definitely return.

Christopher’s cottage is amazing! Me and my boyfriend went for the weekend during peak fall, and the views were amazing! It was super peaceful and exactly what we were looking for! Christopher was also very responsive and gave clear instructions. Would love to come back!

Allison was an extremely friendly and responsive host. There were even supplies ready for coffee and s'mores! Any questions we had were promptly answered. She checked in to make sure that we had everything we needed and gave some great recommendations for local restaurants! We highly recommend Daddy-O's for breakfast and Nonesuch River Brewing for lunch or dinner, both are very close by. The walking trails were well maintained and gave so many opportunities to explore walking by the two ponds. We will be recommending this to anyone looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle while still being close to anything you need.

Our stay at the beach house was great! You couldn't be closer to the water! So much fun kayaking, floating and swimming in the lake! House is much better than the pictures do it justice. For a 2 bedroom house its very big and spacious, beds were extremely comfortable. The no wifi was a little bit of a downer but there were plenty of board games to play. There is some street noise but not bad at all. Would most definitely recommend if you are looking for waterfront property. The access to the resort pool was a plus too for the kiddos!

It was a wonderful 2 days we sent there! Great location, beautiful and clean house the area around the house is stunning We are grateful to the host that we had this opportunity!

Wonderful,private, well equipped cottage on pretty pond. Owners quick to respond to our texts. Relaxing hot tub and fantastic sauna! Many restaurants and breweries within a 30 minute drive. Book it ..... you won't wanna leave!

Loons Rest was the perfect get away spot for our 40th anniversary. We were lucky to enjoy the swimming dock in mid September as the daytime temperatures were in the upper 70's to low 80's. The lake was pristine and was warm enough for swimming still. We enjoyed watching and hearing the loons as well as the eagles and kingfishers. We loved the outdoor fire pit when the evenings turned cool as well as the indoor fireplace which is a work of art! Also the was plenty of well seasoned firewood. Everything about this place is very well thought out. If they don't have it you don't need it! The kitchen was well equipped and we were happy to find that there was everything we needed to prepare pizzas to cook on our solo stove pizza oven that we had brought along! John is a great host and responded quickly to any questions we had. Would highly recommend Loons Rest to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing spot to vacation.
