Antique furnishings perfectly complement the historic architecture. The house is on 3 floors so a fair bit of walking up and down stairs is required. The main bedroom is on the upper floor and the 2nd bedroom (two single beds) and bathroom on the lowest floor. Ideal for couples and families but not for the elderly or groups of 4 adults.

Porto Ceresio is a lovely Lombardian village, right on the border with Switzerland.

You arrive by boat. No road, no car, no traffic — just a red cottage on the water in a village that time forgot, and the boat is yours for the whole stay (no licence needed). Two bedrooms, a fireplace, a covered terrace over the lake, and a garden of old trees with a wood-fired pizza oven and BBQ. Kayak and paddleboard included. It is located in a very quiet corner with its own fenced garden where you can enjoy the sun all year round, read a book in peace, eat under the porch, and sunbathe in the garden. The house is located within walking distance of the center of Verbania and the beach. Perfect for a vacation alone, as a couple, or with children.
