Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Apple Valley Lake

A little piece of heaven! What a beautiful and peaceful place! Our little family enjoyed our stay there. For the first time in my life I saw fireflies, green lantern glowing bugs and a beautiful strawberry full moon! What a blessing it is to see God revealed through his beautiful creation. God willing we will be back again for a longer stay. Chris and Nicole were wonderful hosts. Thank for you so much for sharing your beautiful property with us!

This was the second time we have stayed at "The Little Blue House". We enjoyed it even more because we knew where everything was and where we wanted to put our things. It's very neat, clean, well stocked and organized. Not to mention the beach decor is wonderful. This visit we had a chance to sit and relax on the front porch and also take a walk around the lovely back yard. It is a very welcoming and cozy place to come back to after a long drive or day.

We have stayed at the Farmhouse many times and have always enjoyed our stay. The hosts do a great job of making sure everything is clean and comfortable. We did not need anything this trip, but they have been very helpful in previous trips when we did. We are already set to stay again in a couple of months.

Charming and comfortable place, and a perfect spot for a Kenyon visit—we loved being able to walk up the hill to campus. The hosts are welcoming and responsive too. A wonderful stay in a lovely home!

This is easily the cleanest, most thoughtful Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. The house is immaculately clean! I was blown away. I stayed here for work with some of my team — they like to cook breakfast and dinner together and made use of the well-equipped kitchen, grill, and fire pit. The next-door neighbors are a fun bonus as well (🦙🦙🦙🦙). If I had to describe this place with one word, it would be thoughtful. Every time you turn around there is another small amenity or helpful note. It almost feels like the house is reading your mind and anticipating anything you could possibly need. I’ve stayed in so many places that feel like they are doing the bare minimum — this experience was far from that. You can tell that the owners are extremely detail-oriented and genuinely want to provide the highest level of customer service.

This was the best stocked Airbnb we have ever stayed in! And its wonderfully clean and organized! We like to prepare our meals and eat at the home. This house was truly a home away from home. And it was beautifully stocked for cooking, we grilled on the patio grill! We loved the fire pit area. It has so many thoughtful extras provided that truly sets this Airbnb apart! If we come into the area again, we will be back!

Norman is a great host! He is proactive and responsive. When he came over to feed his sheep and lambs, he took time to talk with us about them and let us pet them. This is a great rural place if you are looking for peace, quiet and the sounds of nature.

This is probably the best Airbnb experience I have ever had. My sister-in-law and I decided to have a girl’s weekend getaway from husband/fiancé and kids, and Amish Country was our first pick. We found several that caught our eye, but this one stood out. It is a centralized location, looked so pretty and peaceful, and the reviews were great. They were NOT WRONG! We were not disappointed. James was responsive and communicative before and during our stay to make sure everything was perfect and check-in was a breeze. The space was cozy, but spacious at the same time, and had plenty of amenities. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will be staying here again, every time we come to Holmes County! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would, and I know my sister-in-law would as well!

Great little home away from home. My husband and I stayed for two nights as I got to show him my home town. Was peaceful and just what we needed for a relaxing weekend!

Terri and Graham were extremely friendly and accommodating hosts. They proactively communicated with us and ensured we had everything we needed. Terri was also so kind as to give us a tour of her property and it is evident how compassionate and knowledgeable she is about farm and livestock care. The apartment itself was adorable, well decorated and equipped and was in a safe and secure location. We would 100% stay at this property again and we thank Graham and Terri for their hospitality!

Loved my stay here. From the outside nature sounds and views to the quaint interior, this place was just what I needed for my stay. Jimm and Kerry were amazing host, very responsive and accommodating. Whenever I am back in the area, I will definitely return to this gem.

Jennifer’s place was wonderful! Her and Dick were very hospitable. My husband and I traveled from out of state to celebrate my brother’s 60th birthday. They allowed him and my daughter and her 2 kids to meet there and enjoy their beautiful outside tranquility garden and they even built us a fire in the fire pit. They had popsicles and toys for the kids as well. They went above and beyond to make our time there enjoyable. I would highly recommend their Airbnb. A very enjoyable stay and some wonderful memories were made!

We had an amazing stay at Chris’s place! The apartment was clean, cozy, and perfectly located. Chris was super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The area was quiet and safe, with great restaurants and shops within a few miles. We loved sitting on the patio and enjoying the scenery. We loved staying in this beautiful home! The location was perfect, and the access to the hot tub was a nice, relaxing extra! Dean was very quick to respond to anything I sent! Great host!!!!

It was absolutely beautiful it was clean it was peaceful the resort pool and fitness center were definitely a plus but having a cup of coffee in the morning on the private balcony was one of my favorite parts of being there and listening to the frogs at night is wild but really just enjoying the scenery it was a really nice get away from the city definitely thinking about staying again .

This cabin was absolutely beautiful. Our host Missy was amazing. The cabin had everything you could need and more. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Inside the cabin there was so much thought and detail put into it. Our family would definitely stay again. It is well kept and super clean. I would recommend this cabin to any one.

If you are looking for a quiet, rural get-away, then this little cabin is just your ticket. It is off the beaten path and requires a drive to local amenities, like restaurants and shops. But it you want to pack in all your essentials for overnight or a couple of days, this is a perfect opportunity to see and experience a scenic part of Ohio. Maria is a wonderful host and everything is clean and welcoming.

My friends and I had a girls trip here last weekend and had SO much fun! It was perfect for us since both beds are in the same room. It was all set up with lights, AC, hot tub and everything when we got there. We didn’t follow the directions given to find the place and simply put it into google maps, which brought us to the terrifying abandoned cabin up the hill, so make sure to follow the directions that Barb provided when trying to get there!

We stayed a night in this beautiful cabin! It was so peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The hot tub was amazing, the cabin had an amazing view. It was a very welcoming and clean environment. It was very cool to see the cattle close by and even watching them graze from the patio. The hosts are so nice and responsive. They truly made it a memorable stay!!

great cabin! would definitely book in future, only minor inconvenience was that there were cameras at every point of the house which made a bit of an uneasy feeling but other than that it was a great place to stay- very well kept!

The place was perfect for our stay and exactly what we we were looking for - quite and relaxing . Laura was the most thoughtful host and had everything anyone staying could ever need. She even had a few little surprises for us after finding out our stay was part of my birthday celebration.
