“My family and I wanted to escape the rainy Germany for a few days. With the Villa La Calandria in beautiful Burgos we made the perfect choice. The property is very lush as described. For a family of five, it is particularly suitable because of the game device and playing surfaces. Our two older ones could let off steam and unfold. The environment is beautiful. Because of our nine-month-old baby, we left it to the Ribera de Duero for a visit to the winery and daily excursions. The offer is very diverse. La Calandria is generally well equipped. Despite the autumnal temperatures we had it pleasantly warm. I will definitely rent the property again in summer.”

“The house is very cozy and spacious, it has everything you need. The beds are very comfortable (something that does not always happen when you leave the house), the exterior very pleasant and very well located. We can't ask for more! We were a family with two children and two puppies and we all enjoyed a lot. We recommend it 100%”
The house has two floors with a terrace and a large yard. On the ground floor is the kitchen, the living room, a bathroom, a possible room, a pantry and an area for suitcases. In the upstairs there are four bedrooms, one bathroom and a terrace with views. The yard is spacious has a gazebo and flowers.
“Castrillo is certainly a small and relatively quiet village (although their fiestas can go on all night!). We mostly used it as a base for a working visit to La Ribera which we’ve done twice before. The house is really fabulous for the money- spotless, large and with fab extra spaces like a large sitting room, garden and the much-used roof terrace. Our host MariCruz couldn’t have made us feel more welcome and if our trip had been more for leisure then we’d have taken up some of the many many suggestions she had for what to visit in the local area. Previously we have stayed in Aranda which certainly has more/better bars and restaurants to offer, but the quality of the house itself was 10x what you’d find in a more central location. ”
