It can be reached by public transport: buses C30 C31 C32 departing approximately every hour from the Como San Giovanni railway station, Como Lago Ferrovie Nord or from Piazza Matteotti towards Como-Bellagio, take about 8 minutes to reach the Blevio stop - Decorations Savio, about 100 m away from the house. A pleasant alternative to traditional public transport may be the use of Lake Como navigation boats, departing from Piazza Cavour in the direction of Torno, from where walking for about 15 minutes you will reach the destination. I ALLOW ME TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CAR, TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY, AS IN OUR AREA PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS ARE NOT COFORTABLE Villa Pasta The villa was built in the early XIX cen- tury and was bought in 1830 by the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta hosting space for its several guests. In the park the fol lowing built: the studio painting of Clelia, Giuditta's daughter, who attended the Brera Academy in Milan; the cafe-house, a small cave to cool in the summer; the wooden theater where Giuditta practised singing. Captain Wilhelm Locke, grandson of the famous philosopher, drowned in front of his wife and other guests in the lake area in front of the villa. Later his daughter erected a gravestone in his memory. In the small ceme- tery of Blevio it is possible to visit the grave of Giuditta Pasta who died in 1865.

I really enjoyed the peaceful stay with Karin. The apartment sits in a quiet residential area with only a small access road immediately outside for local residents. The main road up the mountain is a few streets away and inaudible. The apartment itself is smart, tidy, without clutter and felt spacious for the size. Two sizeable windows can be completely pulled opened which really gives the impression of being connected to the wonderfully green mountainous surroundings. The view from the windows is exactly the one shown in the advertisement and felt glorious as the sun shines through the windows throughout the day. I appreciated the shower - a very variable experience I find in rbnbs. The water pressure is perfect and the shower is spacious. Karin was very friendly, responsive and provided helpful advice for getting around the local area. The village of Arogno is charming and 10 minutes walk. I can definitely recommend staying at the apartment and look forward already to my next trip.

This was our first time visiting Switzerland from the US, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lena‘s Lakefront condo. She was wonderful at creating an at-home atmosphere and making sure we have everything we needed to cook, wash laundry, and navigate through Lugano. It was very convenient walk outside of our door each morning to grab a coffee or quick breakfast at the local hotel. In the evenings we would cook a homemade dinner and enjoy the view from the balcony. A short walk to the lake was a great time to spend a hot evening. What a magical place! Lena is a great host who thought diligently about anything you could need to make a comfortable stay. We hope to return soon!

Casa Madlen - Bright Attic with Marvelous View

I have travelled to different countries around the world and stayed in really great Airbnbs but this stay is by far the most spectacular. Definitely number one. It is hard to describe how beautiful and stellar this home is in simple words because we were clearly overwhelmed with love for it. With a view overlooking Lugano lake, you wake up to impossible vistas. You can catch the sunrise and sunset on the balcony that faces Monte San Salvatore and Monte Bre. The home is nestled in the beautiful Italian town of Campione and there is a bus that picks up people from right outside the apartment and goes directly into Lugano city. The home was well lit, clean and cosy and the host was extremely responsive. and caring. It's a wonderful home to live in all year round and anyone who manages to get this home for a short or long stay is beyond lucky. All I can say is when you see this home available on airbnb "do not hesitate to book."

Die Wohnung war sehr schön und ruhig. Man hat alles in der Wohnung was man benötigt und sogar noch zusätzliche spiele für schöne Spieleabende. Josiane und Tiziano waren auch immer erreichbar und sehr freundlich. Der einzige Punkt zum bemängeln wäre die hinfahrt zum Haus, weil dieses hoch in den Bergen ist. Jedoch ist es dafür sehr ruhig da oben und man gewöhnt sich an diese Fahrt mit dem Auto.

Heerlijk appartement met prachtig uitzicht op het meer. Fijne uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes naar bijvoorbeeld Lugano en in ons geval ook Porlezza. Veel vogelgezang te horen en verder heerlijk rustig met af en toe een voorbijgaande Italiaanse auto. Klein stukje wandelen en je bent in het centrum en/of bij de Lido (aangelegd zwemgedeelte, 7 frank per keer per volwassene). Het is bergachtig, dus tegen een kleine (trap) klim moet je tegen kunnen.
