House holiday rentals in Ashokan Reservoir

Michael and Nick's Meadow House was one of the absolute best Airbnb stays we have ever enjoyed! It's truly a dream home with everything you will need for your stay. Standout details included a comfy bed, a dream kitchen with everything you'll need to cook your meals, spa-like bathroom, and a cozy fireplace that you can light with the push of a button. The views from every room are stunning and peaceful. We enjoyed coffee and birdsong on the porch every morning. We saw lots of birds, deer, chipmunks and woodchucks. And it's a short drive to lots of trails and charming towns. We had a welcome note and snacks waiting for us on our arrival. Michael was so friendly, responsive, and gave lots of fantastic recommendations. He was also so helpful with all our questions and a work emergency that came up for me. We were dreaming of returning for a longer stay before we had even left.

My husband and I were blown away by the beauty and thought that was put into this private destination. The moment you step on property, the freshness of the air and sounds of the creek are immediately calming. Diana was incredibly nice and very communicative before and during the entire stay. Activities: The sauna, creek, hot tub, pizza oven, grill, fire place/pits, hammocks- the amenities are amazing and unlike any other Airbnb I have ever been in before. So much that besides a quick dinner out one night (12 min away) and a nice walk around the Mountain Top Arboretum with our dog, we wanted to spend our time at the property. We called it our personal sanctuary spa!! The home: The home style is minimalistic but homey and every single item is top notch quality. There are no shortcuts- the entire place is a work of art. The bedroom and bathroom inspired me to reanalyze my own bedroom style. Thank you for upping the Airbnb game!! Can’t wait to come back to this magical spot! ✨

Beautifully designed home with really high end furniture. Aesthetically pleasing. It is right next to a main road, so there is a lot of noise from the cars. But once we got used to it, it was ok. Loved the house though.

Great place to stay in the Catskills if you want something peaceful in the woods. It was a great price for how clean, quiet and aesthetically pleasing this place was. While it was off the beaten path, it was a short drive to many of the cool places in the area and the hosts give a great book of recommendations that was very helpful. Would stay here again!

A beautiful, comfortable house right on the Hudson with stunning views. We loved watching all the life on the river, herons and loons and ducks, as well as boats from tiny crafts to massive barges. There are great hikes just a short distance away. It is a perfect place to rest, write, draw, and make music.

Cozy place to stay for a fall vacation. We loved exploring the nearby towns by day and coming home to cook dinner and play board games in the evening. We learned that staring and ending the day early worked best for us, since it got dark pretty early for mid October and the roads through the woods get very dark. Animals are active at night and the darkness/silence of the woods were an adjustment for us city folks, but overall great experience!

Our family had a lovely time at the Creekside Retreat. We arrived to a clean house with clear instructions for entering. Parking was convenient to the front door. We settled in and played scrabble which was provided by the host in the game cabinet. The second day we enjoyed a great breakfast at a local diner and went hiking about 20 miles away at Minnewaska state park. There was also a walking trail much closer we may check out on another trip. There was a park nearby my children walked to play baseball. Our two dogs made themselves at home. The creek was flooded so we weren’t able to enjoy the deck on it or the boat - maybe next time. The hot tub also didn’t work while we were there but we didn’t realize until later in our stay so it may have been a simple solution. The host generously left towels, blankets, and toiletries but we couldn’t find wash cloths. Wood was left out for the fire. Overall, we had what we needed for a great weekend getaway.

This was hands-down, my favorite. Air B&B ever! We hope to return and spend more time on our next visit. We were literally immersed in and surrounded by nature and it was so beautiful and peaceful. It also felt like home the minute we stepped in… like going to a friend’s “country weekend” place where the books, puzzles, games, records, artwork, handcrafted pottery, electric blankets, dog beds and more (!) just make you feel at ease and in comfort. This place is so loved and it shares that love with its visitors. Thank you to the owners for sharing such a special place!

Staying at this nature oasis was a perfect birthday treat for my boyfriend! We loved using all the amenities offered with the place including the hot tub, and sauna. The Airbnb was much more spacious than I originally imagined but it was such a beautiful surprise! Would definitely come again for another hiking trip and summer adventure :)
