It has been gradually renovated and revitalized (currently in the process of revitalization), with features such as white plastered earthen walls and natural Kenji-ji bamboo fences.Originally an old house opened as an almost 100% inbound accommodation.We are conducting a semi open-air bath in the interior of the warehouse and renovation work centered around the water. ■ Soothing moss garden ■ There are three moss gardens: the front garden, the middle garden, and the back garden. Well water flows everywhere, including through the water basin, the ladle, the deer stone, the stream between the stepping stones, and the pond. The pond is home to koi, goldfish, medaka, tanago, and river shrimp, and is a biotope space visited by wild birds. ■ Chick-in lounge (cafe/bar space), souvenir corner ■ You can drink authentic cocktails on the first floor of the main building.There is a souvenir corner with imported interior goods, accessories, natural stone, and other items from Japan, Bali, and other overseas locations.

Hara-Ie, a 100-year-old dojo inn with a view of the two Alps, in Ina Valley, Nagano Prefecture

This is a small, renovated, 100-year-old earthen storehouse in a town in Ina Valley, Nagano Prefecture, where you can see the two Alps. The inn is run by a married couple who run a design office. It is a space where we designed it ourselves, created the parts we could with our own hands, and explored the possibilities of renovating the warehouse while cultivating the power to create our own lives. We hope you will find your own comfort through the experience of living in this quiet place where the lifestyle of the past and the present intersect. ■ Capacity 3 people It is a small space with a total floor area of about 50 ㎡, so it is spacious enough for 1-3 adults to stay comfortably. ■ Time Check-in: 4 pm - 8 pm Check-out: 11 am We greet you in person at check-in and check-out. Ryuhwang Gaonrim, Nagan Eupseong Cypress Forest Hanok Stay

I built a house on one side of the cypress forest. It's a hanok that requires a lot of work, but it fits quite well with the foot of Geumjeonsan Mountain and the Eupseong Village below the mountain. Gardener Jaegeum Lee walks the forest road with a hoe every morning. Start the day by planting flowers and tending trees. Now I would like to share Sarangchae with you. A cup of tea from Sarangchae's Numaru contains the fresh air created by the cypress forest and the whispers of flowers swaying in the wind. * Only 1 team per day is operated on a reservation basis. Please call the manager before making a reservation. * It's the time of the coronavirus. After leaving the room, we disinfect the outside of the house and provide non-face-to-face service. * Guests are provided with freshly laundered and sun-dried bedding.

Loft on top of a machiya

This is a unique loft space on top of a rare 3 floors machiya located on the central island of Kyoto. On the top floor of HASU former ryokan, we have designed an ensuite appartement with 2 rooms that are like 2 small houses. One room is located on the East side, and the other on the West side, they both have their own shower. The house was renovated in 2020 in order to offer an authentic experience in an ancient ryokan, with a contemporary comfort.
