Peaceful days with a private forest. Enjoy the sound of birds, the sound of the wind, and the flickering of light in the forest from a comfortable distance. Located at the southern foot of Mt. Yatsugatake at an altitude of 1150 m, it is a place where people who seek the nature and climate of the highlands live, rather than a tourist destination. Spring brings new greenery and buds, cool summers, colorful autumn leaves, and the warmth of a wood stove. There are also plenty of seasonal activities, such as skiing, hiking, river play, hot springs, and Hokuto City, which is surrounded by famous peaks, has many viewpoints where you can enjoy views of Mt. Yatsugatake, the Southern Alps, and Mt. Fuji. There is also an abundance of spring water. Please try to find them. The building was designed and constructed by the Tokei team, and the team operates it as an inn for many people to use. The distinctive architecture is a redesign of an old townhouse using modern construction methods and traditional materials. Inside, you'll find artwork such as murals and stone carvings of black birds, as well as books and photo collections selected by the host, which you can take your time to enjoy during your stay. * The capacity is 4 people, but if it is only adults, the number of people who can stay comfortably is up to 3 people. * The price shown is for up to 2 people, and 10,000 yen will be added to the accommodation fee for each additional person.

A simple yet rich rural life that has continued since the Edo period!

Spend a relaxing time with friends around the Irori fireplace. You can enjoy the Goemon bath, kamado, and old-fashioned slow life while feeling the season with the wind and sky patterns (there is a cassette stove, IH heater, and shower). You can also cook with a wood stove and BBQ outdoors. 　10 minutes by car from Izumo City Station. Izumo Taisha is 25 minutes away. There is also a hot spring nearby. The 20 tatami mat Japanese-style room is a private bedroom, and the kitchen and toilet are shared. There is a design office in the warehouse, and I work from 8:30 am to 6 pm on weekdays. You can also use the thatched cottage with a good view. 　There is also air conditioning, but in the summer, if you open the veranda and hang a mosquito net, the summer night breeze will invite you to sleep comfortably. From spring to autumn, you can hear the nostalgic sounds of frogs, cicadas, and bell crickets. 　If you are unfamiliar with charcoal or fire, I can help you if the timing is right. Firewood is free, but please bring your own BBQ charcoal if you use the sunken hearth. It is 1.6 km to the supermarket and 5 km to Izumo Station. It feels good to walk or jog along the Tanabe-michi Road and Kawato-te in the early morning. Please keep pets on the dirt floor. In July and August, please pick blueberries from the garden.

Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho, a town blessed with forests, lakes and snow in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, with a wealth of natural areas such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri and Togakushi nearby. You can freely use the comfortable building renovated with natural materials such as cedar, cypress, and plaster, the natural garden that creates seasonal scenery, and the forest where the stream flows.In the forest that we have been maintaining, you can see birds, squirrels, and marten, and you can enjoy strolling around looking for wild vegetables and mushrooms, as well as swings and hammocks. We also paid close attention to the interior design and kitchen utensils to make sure you can enjoy "living" in the space. At the gazebo by the stream, you can enjoy BBQ and campfires without worrying about the weather. It is ideal as a base for hiking, fishing, paddle boarding, and golf during the green season, and as a base for winter sports during the snow season. We wanted to balance the familiarity of everyday life with the novelty of travel. Please take the time to feel the warmth and freshness in the combination of modern furniture that has been completed in the rafters of the hanok, which has been piled up over the years. You can sit on the floor or sofa and enjoy tea while listening to music. Enjoy a warm tea and reflection while touching the carefully crafted furniture. The book is prepared as a manuscript focusing on architecture, interior, flowers, plants, and photography. I hope that the sensual images encountered at the travel destination will become a new vitality in everyday life.
