Family-friendly holiday rentals in Au Sable Township

I booked this beautiful home after my first reservation and host cancelled on me due to the storms. Well, I can say… we are so happy with our stay. It was exactly as described and even better than expected. April really is a one of a kind host, so good that I had to take notes for my own Air bnb adventure. She thought of everything! I’ve never had a better stocked kitchen. We always cook and make a big meal and we sure did not want for anything. We were even greeted with a local baked good and extra sheets and blankets for the dogs. These hosts were the best I’ve had in Michigan, if not the whole country. I’m thankful for people who truly consider someone’s stay and thinks of it all. Thank you again to the hosts. The Cabin was spotless and one of my favorite features was the deer lights.

Bailey was a great host. She was responsive and helpful when we had issues. The house was nice, clean, and spacious.

This place is out of a dream. A perfect spot to unwind. Right on the lake. Has all the amenities. Nothing else I would change about this spot. This is my second visit and will definitely not be the last.

Bill was a very nice and responsive host, giving us anything from movie recommendations to good restaurants in the area. Any time I messaged him with questions he messaged back within the hour. The house was just as beautiful as expected and very well cleaned and maintained. I definitely plan on going back in the future!

The stay at Kenneth's place was everything I was looking forward to. Beautiful setting, spacious and very accommodating for a cousins reunion. All of us loved it and looking forward to our stay next year. Thank you so much Ken!

Not bad for the budget. Peaceful and secure. Only thing they have to work on is the bathroom and the clean water to use

Had a great time with the kids at Edwards place. Definitely off the beaten path, 20 min drive to property driving on gravel and then dirt/sand after the gate, was a little tight between the vegetation on the path with my truck but no damage done(couple minor scratches). You'll get used to the solar power and learn to conserve, make sure to charge during the day. Amazingly beautiful property, crazy quite. We didn't see much wildlife during our stay, mostly a wide variety of birds. we rented the small boat and made it to the sandbar on Hubbard lake, if your not too familiar with boats I would rent a boat in the surrounding lakes before trying to make it by river to Hubbard lake. River is GREAT for kayak, canoe or paddle board plus you won't scare off the wildlife with the sound of the engine. Overall, we had a great time in this secluded setting and spending quality time with the kids without wifi/internet.

Outstanding! Very clean. We clean up after ourselves so not getting slammed with a high house cleaning fee and other fees made this a great value for families. One of the best places we’ve ever rented and Becca was so nice to work with.

William’s cabin was stocked with everything we needed to stay 4 days while working, and playing visiting clients in Traverse City. The location was beyond what we expected and our dogs LOVED playing in the open yard and snow. We would for sure stay here again, thank you!

The house was in a nice, quiet location which I enjoyed. The area looked like it would be a nice place to walk around, but unfortunately I stayed during the coldest part of the winter season so I wasn't up for bein outside when the real feel was below zero. The location was convenient, and the house had everything I needed. The one time I had a minor issue with the TV, Greg was responsive and provided guidance on how to solve the problem. Overall, this was a good stay, and I would recommend anyone to try it out.

Zeron’s island is a stunning property with everything you’d ever need for a relaxing vacation. We watched beautiful sunsets every night from the lookout point and from the boat. The house is loaded with every lawn game and the kayaks / paddle boards were a hit. We will definitely be back!

This is my second visit at Bill's place. I've come to Caseville my entire life. This property is perfect for myself and a guest. Kitchen is fully stocked with an abundance of appliances. Bill is VERY responsive and helpful. YOU CANNOT BEAT the location. Short drive to town and the neighborhood has a nice little area of beach maybe 100ft away from the doorstep.

The location was awesome. Home was as in pictures. Only complaint were ALL the mattresses were old and very uncomfortable. My adult daughter chose to sleep on floor instead of bed due to how uncomfortable the beds were. Other than that the place was awesome

Our event "Sno Droft" because we were competing was stressful. Pete's Retreat just plain took that load off of our plate as did the host Leslie! Just a great location, great neighborhood and great people!

This place felt like home. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed to make breakfast.

This place is super cool and beach themed which I love. The pics are accurate and location to the beach is just as described! There's a pier within walking distance too and plenty of sandy beach to enjoy! Two things stood out to me, the house was super clean! Like immaculate clean. I was impressed and two, the communication with the host was impeccable. I always get nervous about getting in and if I have questions if they're gonna be answered timely. I had zero issues and the host went above and beyond to be sure all my questions were answered pre staying there. Upon getting there everything was perfect so I had no more questions although the host still reached out to make sure everything was OK! Yup! Great service! The beds were also comfy so that's also another plus! I highly recommend! 💯😁

Kim’s cabin was perfect and just what we needed for a weekend up north to end the summer. Kids loved the beach and the board games. Sand lake is gorgeous and although the sand is a bit mucky, it’s still probably the best in-land lake I’ve set foot in in Michigan! Nice and shallow for what seemed like 100ft out from shore! Perfect for my 6 and 10 yr old kids. They used the paddle board and we used the kayaks and metal boat. They loved the slide into the lake and even though it was the last weekend of the year and time to take it out of the water, the owners were gracious enough to let our kids use it for most of the day Saturday. Tawas was only a 15 minute drive! Perfect location and great, quiet safe community. We will definitely be back if Kim and Dutch will have us! Thank you so much again!!! Oh the cabin was great as well and has everything you would need! Fire pit and all the tools for smores!

We come every year to Tawas for a girls weekend. We were looking for a new place to stay, and booked this home. It was wonderful! The rooms are all decorated beautifully and we felt right at home the minute we stepped inside. Everything was spotless and we enjoyed cooking in the beautiful kitchen! the outdoor patio was a fantastic and relaxing spot to have charcuterie and a glass of rosé and relax for an afternoon! We enjoyed the home so much that we booked our next year's trip before we had even left this year's! This is a wonderful home to stay in if you are looking for a quiet, nice neighborhood and a beautiful home to relax in for a vacation.

This was a unique and affordable base camp for exploring Michigan's thumb coast. We had everything we needed and a great locatio to add to our adventure stories.
