Farmstay holiday rentals in Avery County

We had a great stay at the Plumtree Cabin, it was nice to journey through the mountains and find ourselves in a private Cabin next to a farm. We were also welcomed by a family of 7 deer each night of our stay. Very affordable and comfortable cabin. Will definitely keep in mind for future travels.

I cannot recommend this place enough!! First off the privacy and the view was spectacular. We were greeted by the cutest dogs! We were able to rest and enjoy the fire pit while lying on the hammock. And the host took us around to see his goats, horses and dogs! It was so enjoyable! I will recommend it to anyone who needs to escape from the city life!

This by far the best place we have stayed in the last few years. It was beautifully and comfortably decorated. Had everything we needed. Morning came with a symphony of birds and sounds from the cows in the neighboring farm. Nighttime brought a chorus of tree frogs. The beds were comfortable the kitchen stocked and the hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day. Close to fishing and hiking. Would definitely stay again if back in the area.

Loved staying in this unique house with my family! The mountain roads to get there could be a little intimidating for someone who has never really driven in the mountains before (I’m originally from FL), but you can adapt quickly. The bed upstairs was ridiculously comfortable, the house was clean, the area was very peaceful/quiet, and you’re fairly close to everything. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Even though it was a short stay for us, I can’t say enough positive things about our experience. Simon’s hospitality was exceptional. He went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Beautiful location beside the River to enjoy from the front porch. Very pleased with the accommodations. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. Thank you again Simon!

I have lost count at how many times we have stayed at Liz’s place. It is truly our home away from home. We love everything about it. The location, the beds, the front and back porch to sit and watch the wildlife in the mornings!! Liz and Jason are the best hosts of any Airbnb I have ever stayed at! Thanks again guys! This is our second time staying at one of Claudia's cottages. Always a nice get away and be peaceful. Claudia is a great host. The power went out and right away, she messaged us stating she contacted the power company. I highly recommend Claudia's place. We will definitely come back.

Our stay at the Yeehaw Lodge for an extended weekend getaway was amazing and the view of Grandfather Mountain from the cabin was absolutely stunning! The cabin was exactly as described and very well stocked. Liz's instructions were clear which made check in and check out a straightforward process. We look forward to booking a stay at the Yeehaw Lodge in the future.

Lovely home in a pretty setting right outside Banner Elk. Home is quiet, comfortable and just as advertised. We loved hanging out on the wrap around porch. Michael was very responsive. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely go back.

Absolutely charming! My husband said , “Pick any bnb that you like. They are all the same.” Nope! This place is so very different! Located on the side of a hill, the cottage has a huge vista spreading out of farmlands and mountains. We sat on the porch and just listened. Birds singing, roosters calling, ducks quacking, hens clucking, horses neighing, and in the evening the frogs peeping. So peaceful. Inside the decor is perfection. Nikki is a very good artist and decorator. Everything is so very comfortable. We loved it!

Jen was a great host that allowed us to sneak in a bit early for a virtual meeting. The photos look exactly like the cabin. Only slight downfall is there are two cabins. VERY close together so noice from neighbors carried and was loud.

Our time at the cabin was next to magical, Peace, quiet and fireflies - what more could one ask for? Shelby was a super responsive host and left plenty of recommendations for our time in the area. Location was unable to be beat -from cabin to the trailhead at Grayson Highlands was under 45 minutes. We, our dog included, cannot wait to return!

Such a cute and peaceful spot. Into the Wild is one of my favorite books, so as soon as I saw this listing I knew I had to stay here, and I’m so glad I did. The space was very clean and thoughtfully set up. The hosts also have a little market with fresh veggies, eggs, sourdough, and other local goodies, which was such a nice bonus. To top it all off, we got a visit from a couple of the sweetest pups while relaxing in the bus. Truly a unique and cozy stay.

We had an amazing time on our romantic getaway at this beautiful Bluff City Airbnb! The hot tub was the perfect place to unwind, especially at night while watching the lightning bugs dance around us pure magic. The decor throughout the home was cozy and stylish, making it feel like a true retreat. We loved the goats and their sweet guardian dog, Bonnie such a fun and heartwarming bonus! The views were stunning, adding to the peaceful vibe of the property. We did have one small issue during our stay, but the host was very responsive and did their best to help, even while out of town, which we truly appreciated. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing escape, and we’re already hoping to stay again on our next trip if it’s available!

This place is such a gem!! So peaceful and cute, the place itself is very clean and the location is incredible. It feels very private despite being not far at all from town. Summer and Audra were wonderful hosts and the animals were so cute! Would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay at Lani’s cabin! Hours were spent on the balcony reading, chatting over breakfast and coffee! Watching the fireflies at night, and the stars - what a dream! Lani created a space that was well thought out and incredibly comfortable!

We needed a quick last minute getaway to recharge and this house was exactly what we needed. Deer and bird watching from both decks made our day! Hot tub was added bonus. Furniture in the family room was super comfortable. Loved the separate sleeping areas (and additional family room) even though we didn’t use it. Decorations were professionally and tastefully done, while still being comfortable. Easy access to Banner Elk and other nearby areas. John was very responsive even suggesting restaurants.

This place was beautiful, welcoming, and peaceful. We will definitely try to book the same place next time we are in town. The owners were quick to respond with any question and made us feel at home. It was the perfect distance to downtown Boone and so many other things we wanted to do.

If you are looking for a quiet, well-equipped location where there is room for everyone, you’ve found your place. While a little quirky, the layout has all sorts of nooks & crannies for you to enjoy… multiple porches, multiple fireplaces, multiple seating arrangements. The views are just beautiful & the house is cozy & well-equipped. We were a family group of all adults in for graduation at App State. I wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the house more. Ann was a great communicator & we would definitely purely stay here again. There are a lot of steps involved to enjoy everything but also many options on the main floor of the house if you have mobility issues (we had older grandparents in our party and no young children). Ann’s notes about local shops & restaurants were detailed & helpful. Great stay!

We had the most magical summer stay at “our nest”. The home was clean and well stocked. Yvonne was so kind and left milk, OJ, Eggs and tons of snacks. The coffee bar was well stocked as well. The backyard was perfect for our kiddo and dogs. We sat out at night watching the dazzling firefly show. The location was perfect, close to historic Boone but also close to all the hiking we did. We would highly recommend Yvonne’s home.

This cabin was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a long weekend trip. Rina was very responsive to questions and was flexible with check-in time as we were traveling across the state. The amenities were great and we made use of the outdoor grill, dining space as well as the fire pit. Thanks for a wonderful experience in our first Air B&B!

What an ADORABLE cabin perfectly located near Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock! So much to do near by and the most adorable cabin to return to afterwards. Soaking tub and hot tub are so nice after a long hike. The furniture is clean and well maintained. Nicely, stocked kitchen and the hosts left thoughtful gifts too! Would book again due to accuracy of description and how nice hosts are. Don’t hesitate if you’re considering this. It’s great!

We had an unexpected family emergency come up and had to cancel the trip only to find out, we actual would be able to make it. Kelly was great about the cancelation and even wonderful to allow us to book again. I don’t know where we’d end up if she wasn’t so gracious and understanding! The place is exactly the peace and serenity we needed. Everything was extremely clean, great instructions, and felt like a home away from home. The drive to Boone was so pretty it didn’t seem like we drove 20min! Thank you both again so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home! We will recommend this place to our friends and family 100%!
